uropa - thank you for sharing that. I am so sorry to hear of how things panned out. Admittedly, I have been nervous about the homebirth since discovering my placenta was low (which i had a feeling about right at start of preg) but i know the scanner at the clinic i am attending has a colour doppler so i may just mention it. I do remember the sonographer putting the colour on it at the 20w scan which i had never had before but she didn't mention the placenta position until after she had done all this and as there is nothing in my notes, i think it would be worth a mention. I really am sorry for your loss. I hope time has been kind to you. xx

Vanilla That is great about your DD. My son (12) has learnt the art this year, so know how you feel. Only problem we have is that storage space is limited so he has to ride his sisters pink bike for now! (Not that it bothers him, lol)

Have just rescued the washing from outside, got soaked in the process. Good job I haven't made it to the shower yet.

    Level One
[STRIKE]Sweep, vacuum[/STRIKE] and mop floors - Think I need to do it again though before I mop.
    [STRIKE]Declutter and wipe worksurfaces[/STRIKE]
Oven cleaning week... and it is level one so none of you can get out of it.. - Did the Hob thoroughly and the microwave. Might tackle the oven later. But it is only a couple of months old so not too bad anyway.
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Clear out a cupboard.. the larder unit or pantry if you have one or just the general messiness of cupboard.. the one where you stuff all things useless.[/STRIKE] - Yay!
[STRIKE]Wipe and replace small appliances.. Clean one thoroughly![/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wipe units and large appliances.. don't forget kickboards!
Dejunk window sills,[/STRIKE] dust blinds and wash windows!- Maybe later!!!

    Extras
Wash light shades and clean bulbs
[STRIKE]Clean out the smelly fridge[/STRIKE] - Even got OH to Call and sort out replacement drawer for freezer and salad drawers for fridge.
Sort out and restock baking cupboards - Big Job, but needs doing!
Scrub sink and shine the taps! - To be done later.

So far I have managed to do the poatoes(took longer as I chucked out the last scourer!!), put most of the clothes away and clear the hallway and the top landing!!

Dinner doesn't really need to go on till after the school run, I will do the desk then as well and I will mop the floors now before going up the school and hopefully they will be dry when we get back...........

    Catch you laters xx

  • I'm wondering if any of you lovely ladies can give me some advice...

I've been putting off cleaning my shower for AGES mostly because I have no idea how's best to do it :o In fact, I don't think I've ever managed to clean it thoroughly since I've lived here :o
It's hidden away in an en-suite where guests never venture so it keeps getting left but I'm still really ashamed of myself :(

There's loads of limescale (very hard water), a bit of mould (pink & black varieties) and the plastic shower enclosure is covered in watermarks and dried soap scum.

I don't want to have to buy expensive cleaners, was hoping someone might have some tips ...or is it just elbow grease & lots of scrubbing that's required?

I've been to the counsellor this morning, haven't felt like doing much since :(
I've been having a few worries about my new relationship but have now spoken to him and he's tried to reassure me. Had so many bad experiences in the past I can't help worrying :o
Waiting for DD1 to get home so she can hold the ladder while I do the lights
