The whole development isn't due to be finished until the middle of next year!0

Or RyanAir - "want a pilot? That's an extra £5......"...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

New build - 4 walls only.
So how much extra was the roof?0 -
Doesn't seem unreasonable to me - people want different things and I can understand why the developer wants to advertise at the cheapest possible price. I think you just have to go into it accepting that the advertised price is not going to be the finished price.
There should be wiggle room for negotiation, though of course less if it's part exchange.0 -
I'm looking at new builds now and out of the big boys IMO Redrow are coming out ahead for what's included and quality of product.0

If anyone went to an older property and the vendor stated a intent to remove the carpets, shower etc you would expect the sales price to be lower than the house next door where they were being left would you not?
Seems no different to a developer charging extra for them to me.0 -

Personally I would avoid most of the big builders new builds, usually poor quality, over priced and very small. I would normally go for the good shell and size of an older building. However there are some very good small builders out there who do far more than the standard newbuild shoe box.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.
