if anyone's wondering how to 'fiddle' it, here's a few tips:
If you use Internet Explorer - IECookiesView v1.70 - search for the cookie with 'tinsfortat' then modify the value using the 'edit the cookie's content' option - this can change the number of votes from 5 at a time to a million.
Alternatively with Firefox - try the addon called TamperData - and modify the information set by the cookie that way to achieve the same thing.
To attempt some automation of the clicking - try Iopus - they've got a free addon for Firefox (iMacros for Firefox) or alternatively a 30 day free trial of their full software.0 -
I wouldn't want to fiddle it though. I'd like to win, of course, but by fair means.
All the cheats are spoiling it for the honest people in this competition. I only hope Guinness can tell who's been rigging their votes and who hasn't.0 -
bs7 you should probably delete the content of that post, wouldn't want you to get in trouble in any way.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0

I'm not suggesting people do it, i'm only pointing out how it's being done. Their website merely uses a number in a cookie to identify how many votes have been made. Obviously people are changing it to allow unlimited votes. If a mod wants to delete it - obviously they can do so.0 -

If you know the way to cheat, its making it a level playing field with the cheats.0

Sure it's cheating but so it seems is everyone else who's won recently.
Believe me clicking a mouse 8,000+ times is no picnic. :eek:0 -
Thanks dialectic. It would be great to win - I don't want to appear to be a hypocrite though0
