Anyone had trouble with Orange BB and ie7?

Have recently had multiple line drop outs using Oranges Broad Band and ie7. Phoned support who said "Sorry, Orange don't support ie7, that's your problem, suggest you go back to ie6" This sounds rubbish, but.....
