I've said thie before somewhere on here, but archive boxes are brilliant - strong, collapsible, durable, and you can't really overfill them. We bought a few dozen a few years ago and they're still going strong after loads of moves (and being used as furniture lol). Definitely a good investment.
Seconded.
Document storage/archive boxes from stationery suppliers or your local cash & carry (Costco or similar).
They're strong because they're designed to hold a lot of heavyweight paper.
They have lids, so they stack easily and aren't overfilled.
They usually have carrying handles.
When you're done with this removal, they fold flat so you can tuck them away for next time you move. Or you can lend them to friends/family when they're moving.0 -
I work in the IT department for a corrugated fibreboard box manufacturer, we make single, double and triple wall boxes for sale all over the world. Its the only perk I get - free boxes! I'm usually very popular amongst my friends if anyone is moving.......2013 NSD challenge 3/100

Recycling centre - at the cardboard recycling bin - ask the people who run the site if they mind you taking decent boxes - they won't, but may try to charge you a nominal sum. Then have a look-see what's there already, and if you can be fagged, on a busy Sunday afternoon wait a wee while. The sort of sturdy boxes you need will be sure to turn up!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

You don't supply boxes?! I've never used a removal company that doesn't.
My boss does supply proper boxes but some people buy their own and as with most things now days they go on google to find cheap boxes. Mad4boxes website is very convincing and cheap. A lot of people buy them, although I doubt it's a mistake they would make again0
