I'm to young to buy a hat

Tried to buy a fasinator/hat from bhs on-line. Every time i tried to go through to the checkout i got this message
My Basket

Products, Hats Scarves & Sunglasses, Hats & Fascinators You are under the required legal age for this product, you must remove it from the basket to continue to the checkout.

Very strange.

It gave me a form to fill my date of birth, I'm 70, in but still refused me.
Wonder what they think i am going to do with a hat, didn't know they were classed as offensive weapons.

The police have reported a lot of problems recently with the over 70's hiding gin in their hats.

Apparantly they calm down by the time they reach 90.

It seems at last something's being done about it.

What web browser are you using? A few badly written sites only work perfectly in IE, and have problems with Firefox & Chrome. There are a couple of sites I use regularly that I can't use with Chrome, and so I have to use IE to access them properly.

Oh that it was true! It's the 8" hat pin that's the problem. Nice hats though!

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
    And learn to spit.

Quite - and when Jenny Joseph arrived to give a reading the audience of mainly purple-wearing elderly ladies were most disappointed to see her wearing beige!

Back to OP, I blame the young lads going around in flat tweed caps - way too young and rules have had to be put in place to stop them, they look stupid like extras in a Hovis ad - legislation will be going thorugh parliament soon:rotfl:
