    Dear Mrs ******

First of all, a big thanks and an even bigger hello from T-Mobile. We think you'll like it here.
Now, here's what you need to know about your order...

    Your order reference is *******

    Your order summary

Sony Ericsson Vivaz, Pay monthly 10 (24 months)
    Order total due monthly: £10.21
    Order total due now: FREE

All prices on this page include 20% VAT

    What happens next?
We'll process your order and drop you another email to let you know when it's on its way. If we need anything, we'll call or email as soon as we can. Otherwise, just sit back and relax.
    When will I get it?
We send your order by a two-day tracked courier service. That means we'll deliver within two working days as long as you ordered on a weekday before 5pm.

Will the discount show on the next email? Or should I ring them?

So you went for it Jellyhead?

We decided that it was such a good deal to get one anyway because we suspected he would change his mind, and if not somebody else was bound to take it off us, one of his cousins maybe. With some sort of add-on it would be good for when my contract expires, or when (not if, lol) I lose or break mine.

He is now disappointed that it's probably not coming :rotfl:

I could see his point. He's nearly 15 and is surrounded by kids who worship iphone or blackberry, the latest apple products, the newest DS etc. and he has decided that there's nothing wrong with his old phone and he doesn't want to change or upgrade just for the sake of it. It's his own sort of snobbery I suppose. I offered him an ipod for his birthday but he chose a £20 technika mp3 player from tesco instead.

The only advantage to having this deal is that when his mp3 runs out on the coach in Germany he'd have been able to use his phone for music. His old phone doesn't have headphones, and is so old that you can't get headphones with that sort of fitting.

Duh, I just realised you're my brother. Didn't know you were on MSE, hi :)

I did wonder when I read your earlier post about the wanting a touchscreen/not wanting one! Yeah, I joined here when getting the mortgage help from the ownhome scheme, don't usually post here but they've just banned hotukdeals at work. Although there are ways around, I'm not always in the right office. Anyway, ours has been delayed but Gavins has been sent despite him ordering 10 hours later!

The Sony one looked great til I realised it wasn't android, don't want a symbian one. Will be interesting to see what else they offer us.

Symbian, not a great choice TBH.
  • I ordered through this and got a message saying I would need to pay a £100 deposit! Probably because I moved to my new house in January and don't have much of a credit history in the UK. So I checked the box to have a salesman contact me about the deposit (had the choice between that and pay it immediately with my credit card). Then I got an email confirming my order and saying my phone would be sent soon, and the email didn't mention anything about a deposit.

Did anyone else get anything like this? I wouldn't really mind paying a deposit I suppose depending on when they plan on giving me my deposit back. If it's not for the entire 2 years of the contract then that's a little harsh. And can I trust them to ever actually pay it back? And since I got the email confirmation did they change their minds about the deposit or what? I'm very confused now!!!

Yeah the £100 deposit has been mentioned a few times, apparently you get it back after 3 months of service.

Just ordered mine, got the "apollo is out of stock" email, shall just wait and hope they get it back in soon!
