Almost managed an inadvertent NSD yesterday - except spent 5p on milk at work. Would try and have a NSD today - mainly because I have no money in my wallet! But need to buy fuel, and have a date tonight - tho he might pay ;)

I was thinking about getting a job in the run up to Xmas, but now my new module has started, there's no way I have time. So I'm going to concentrate on the study for now, and look for a second job in the new year when this module finishes.

    October Tally of savings.
    Need £1,300. Saved £159.89

£4.50 - Daily round down of bank accounts
    £4.48 - Daily round down
    £3.00 - Daily round down
    £30.00 - Mystery shops
    £22.65 - Amazon sales
    £20.00 - Mystery shops
    £4.20 - Daily round down
    £3.46 - Daily round down
    £60.00 - Mystery Shops
    £0.74 - Daily round down
    £4.23 - Daily round down
    £2.53 - Daily round down

Doing ok so far - nearly half way thru October, so will hopefully have saved about £300 extra. Can save another ~£700 from my salary at the end of the month, so that will take me to 1k, but that final £300 is going to be hard....

Feeling rather stressed at the moment!

UCAS deadline is Saturday. Just had my personal statement looked at and it needs some reviewing, got to finish off the rest of the form, and got to get my line manager to write the reference. I've spoken to him and said I need it by Friday. Hopefully he'll sort it for me ...

Bedroom is a complete tip, that needs tidying, have loads of laundry to do. I've been sleeping really badly lately - takes me ages to get to sleep, and then I sleep through my alarms. I woke up at 10.15am this morning! Supposed to be at work at 9am .

I have my first assignment due on Sunday, and I need awesome marks, as I didn't do too well in my last module.

Also have 2 mystery shops on Saturday - they paid pretty well, so thought it was worth it...

    Too much to do!

To do list for this evening:
    • Finish UCAS application bar personal statement and references.
    • Start rewriting personal statement
    • Tidy room, so there's at least a place to stand.
    • Set up my 3rd alarm clock a long way from my bed...
    • Submit chase on Quidco cashback for Orange broadband (£150!)
    Time to get going!

Personal statement is done, just waiting for another review. UCAs application is done, bar needing the examining board for all my GCSEs and A-levels. I haven't got the slightest idea what those are, or where my certificates are! Going to have to ring UCAS to see if my best guess is good enough. Going to try ringing the school to see if they know - but has probably changed sometime in the last 10-12 years! Parents are on hols, so might have to do the 8hr round trip home to search the loft for the certificates!

Have done zero tidying due to above freakage.

Have managed to set my alarm clock up so I hopefully won't oversleep - and also sorted the Quidco cashback claim, which I'm hoping they'll accept..:o

    Time to try and sleep...

Didn't sleep well again, but I did set FOUR alarm clocks - so did wake up on time today :) . I then realised this morning that I hadn't entered the data for the mystery shop I did yesterday - 9 mins work for £12 :D . So got the laptop out, and then realised I'd forgotten to check which shops were left and right of the store - so had to pop into town on the way to work... think it might actually have been quicker than my usual route?! Normally I take the ring road, but driving through the town centre might be better....

Rang UCAS and they said I really needed the info on examining boards, so rang my school who were very helpful, and will hopefully save the day. Am awaiting their phone call with the info...

Back to money-saving... I have a payment from Amazon on it's way, will add it to the list when it clears. It's only for a tiddly £7, Amazon sales have been a bit slow, but still going as made another sale last night.

Off to pub quiz tonight, so an evening's entertainment for a pound :D

Four alarm clocks?! Are you a collector?

It depends on local conditions, but sometimes everyone heads to the ringroad/bypass in rush hour believing it will be less congested, and this sometimes over-eases the congestion in the centre of town.

    Sumbitted my UCAS application!

My school were v. helpful and came back with all the info about the examining boards - a little scary that they still have my info on file! It was 10-12 years ago!
My boss wrote me a lovely reference, which will hopefully really help my application. So now I just wait and see....

Woohoo :) . Changed to Orange Broadband months ago, as Sky were stupidly expensive, and was supposed to get £150 cashback - but it never came through. Sent a chase to Quidco, and it's now been tracked :D . Probably be months before it gets paid tho... lol
