Does anyone ever win with a gmail address?

I use to win quite a bit when I used my gmail address. I changed to my talktalk one a while ago when wins had dried up and I've not won a thing with talktalk so I've just canged back to gmail.
Please dry spell end, what am I going to do for birthday and Christmas presents this year?£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -
Out of all my email addresses I have had the most wins with Gmail, although saying that, it's my Sky email that has the most & best wins. It is technically a Gmail account but ends in sky.com x

I've always used a gmail address since i started comping and have had some wins, none of them biggies (yet!). I always wonder if it's random, or if preference is given to those who don't tick the 'I don't want mailings' flags etc. I also wonder if you're more likely to win competitions if you enter at the start, middle or near the end of the competition. I think I wonder too much ... ;-)2024 wins: £1001 cheque
2021 wins: £50 cash (Sun); £200 product of year hamper (Sun)
2013 wins: hair styling wand, £500 cash
2012 wins: 6 iTune song downloads, Macbook Air + 12 months Netflix subscription!!, £500 cash, 1xbook, 1xblu-ray, Il Divo tickets, £250 L'Occitane hamper, £200 cash

I personally find that hard to believe. Surely it should be a random choice and not because of somebody having a funky email address.
Why would it be hard to believe? They are my friends, they told me thats how they do it. Doing it that way is random to them.....picking out a random name is what they all do...if the name catches their eye, then they choose that one.
It's still the luck of the draw.'Wisest is she who knows she does not know.'0 -

No, it's not random if you pick out an email address. Even choosing a 'random' number yourself between e.g. 0 - 100 cannot be called random. They'd have to use a proper generator. The people who pick out email addresses probably don't have any T&Cs for their competitions, which means they most likely aren't fair comps anyway.0 -

Ok...maybe I have a different definition of random.
My friends are from a reputable company and def have T&C's...its just the way they choose to pick their winners.'Wisest is she who knows she does not know.'0
