With respect, that's not really what I said.0 -
I'm annoyed at myself as much as EDF over this cancellation fee fiasco and i'll tell you why.
I saw backfoots and gerrards discussion about this fee waiving at the time and rather than contact these 2 members on here i made the mistake of contacting CS at EDF and asked about the fee waiving. I believe the girl was genuine when she claimed she knew nothing about this or had ever heard of the social media dept. At that time the cheapo SP 2012 was still available but with regards to my usage i weighed it up and thought it wasn't worth the fees of £60 to change my supplier. However my decision was heavily weighted in favour of staying with EDF because of this wrong information i was given. Like i said, i believe the girl didn't know. I was on hold for about 20 minutes when she queried this with her supervisor and other departments.
TO EDF(if there is a silent presence here)-i will be contacting you about this matter amongst other things but you could do worse than advise your CS department that if somebody asks to have their fees waived you will allow this. Please try and show some consistency here and treat all people on this tariff in the same way.
Like i said above i am one of the lucky ones on here that have had online access to my account for a couple of months but i think to waive £60 to change supplier is the ABSOLUTE LEAST you can do for some people going by some of the stories on here.
Get a grip EDF and get your CS advised of this and be more upfront and honest with people. We know about this now on here so i think it has backfired on you to an extent. The more people that know about this the merrier.0 -
This received this morning by email from the horses mouth (well EDF social media)-
''Dear Mr Moaner
Thank you for emailing me.
I am sorry for what seems to be the conflicting advice given to you.
I have been advised by out legal department that no one wishing to change supplier
due to the price increase on the OSV7 will be charged the termination fees.
I can appreciate your frustration in regards to the online access, but whilst we are
transferring all our customers to our new billing and online system, this has been
unavoidable.
I am sorry that you have missed out on a tariff that may have saved you some money.
Please be assured that if you do decide to change your tariff or supplier now we
will not charge the fees.
Kind regards''
So there you go.0 -
