I have a tin that only gets silver coins put in it, I counted it up over the weekend and it has £19.80 in it so that will be my Christmas Bonus tin!
Funny thing is that OH leaves the odd 10p or 20p lying around all the time and I pick it up and put it in the tin, therefore the OH is paying my Christmas Bonus :rotfl:VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0

I really like the idea of this as last Christmas nobody except my OH got a present due to me losing hours at work and embarking on a DMP. Thankfully i'd already purchased his helicopter ride in advance and then the company went into administration - but you know Christmas was still nice.
I do fancy it being a little less stressful this year though, so I'm going to start tomorrow (payday) £1 per day and get one of those cans which you can't open up - thanks for the idea LBM: 22.12.2010 :j Self-managed DMP start 29.1.2011DMP Mutual Support Thread No: 4130 LBM: 22.12.2010 :j Self-managed DMP start 29.1.2011DMP Mutual Support Thread No: 4130

I already started doing this a couple of months ago, i don't put a set amount in each day/week i just put the silver in from my change, counted up it up yesterday and have just less than £83 so aiming somewhere between £200-250 which will cover all the Christmas presents and maybe a treat for myself. I do actually get a Christmas attendance bonus at work which is worked out at £20 each full month your not off due to sickness and if you have 100% attendance for the 12 months they add £60 to the pot so totalling £300 less tax and n.i, 7 months gone and not been off sick yet so £140 in the bonus pot0
