    What "help" do you require?

If you are wanting technical assistance then you could discuss it with a web development company. An NDA and non-competition contract before discussing it could be a sensible precaution but I personally wouldn't put too much weight on either, especially the former.

Most developers are happy in the fact that they make their income through developing sites for clients in return for a fee and arent interested in running websites themselves for direct income generation and so wont decide to run off and suddenly launch your idea themselves. Of cause there are exceptions and if the idea really is that good it may turn somone.

Thanks, i guess its just the fear of paying someone to do a website for me etc and it does not take off!

    Got to start somewhere though.

Well you could look to do a joint venture with someone but the majority of web developers aren't interested... they'd rather get their £X and be done with it rather than getting 40% equity and then having to keep an eye not only on what they have built but also on their partner to ensure that they are holding up their side of the bargain with promotion, customer service etc etc.

Many, many developers are asked to do this for equity. If your idea is simple, and good enough, one might. I have in the past, friends have, but it almost always dead-ends. And 50% of naff all is naff all.

As for the fear of paying someone to make your company for you, why should they bear all the risk? If your idea is that brilliant, put your money behind it. If you don't want to back it with every penny, it isn't a great idea.

if i was between 18-30 it seems i might get a mentor and someone to finance me but for older people there is nothing.

You would still be extremely unlikely to get any finance for a web company aged under 30 - almost all web companies go bust, and despite being in the middle of dotcom bubble 2.0, no smart money is going to startups that haven't already got some self-start inertia.

For every rule there is an exception that proves the rule.

100% funding is going to be hard for anyone to get, people arent generally willing to risk their money for a % of the potential profits if the "ideas man" isnt investing their own money in it. Whilst there are possibly a mirriad of good reasons why a person has no capital to use the reality is investment is a numbers games and 0-low initial personal investment just starts too many alarm bells ringing.

Advertising isnt allowed on the site but I am surer there are plenty involved in the web world on this site how would sign an NDA if needed and be able to either give you free or low cost review of the concept and its viability/ likely cost etc
