It's worth keeping an eye Kiddicare. This is their current selection, but I've had several different ones that my daughter's twins love, including a water wheel and a fishing game.

I had a frog one where you poured water in the top of his head and the wheels spun under his chin making his arms move

DS has had one of these Thomas bath toys since he was tiny. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tomy-Thomas-Friends-Bath-Island/dp/B00005LWIO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308944373&sr=8-1
There is a water wheel on it. The slide is a bit flimsy, and generally gets knocked off by accident. The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Me and OH are both mechanical engineers, hence we'd like him to have some nice mechanical bath toys, rather than all this modern day electronic stuff!
Incidentally, we got some plastic ducks from The Bath Store, and they are RUBBISH! Those ducks are just not designed for water, and swim upside-down or on their sides! You'd think a bath store would get something as important as that right!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

And then fill with water, don't empty properly and get gradually blacker on the insides?! Bleurgh. That's why I love that our bottles are recyclable!
We have some of our bottle collection with the labels still on; some without. DD (7) can then practise her maths by estimating the capacity of label-less bottles by filling them from the labelled ones. DS (3) just loves pouring and squirting.
I remember playing at being a chemist in the bath- mixing the toiletries together to make 'potions'. Must have driven my parents up the wall- I don't think conditioner in with the bubblebath would make a good lather :rotfl:They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
