Fun bath toys!

Where can I buy them??

I remember having things that you poured water in, and wheels turned etc...

I've tried searching online, but can't find anything vaguely similar!

Help!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

ELC and John Lewis have the best traditional bath toys that I can find. I used to love the water wheel, too. DD has the John Lewis bath flutes which are quite fun.

Sometimes seaside beach hut stores sell good sand toys that work even better in the bath. I am sure i have seen the big plastic sand/ water wheels there

This was the sort of thing I was after:

    bath-water-wheel.jpg

But this one seems to be out of stock.

I hadn't thought of looking for sand/water ones. DS is only 7 months, but finds mechanical things rather amusing, so I thought he'd like something like that in the bath!

  • Tesco will have them in at the moment as they sell them for outdoor sand and water play, usually cheaper than places like ELC.

Not going to help you, but thats the one we have.

Just watch as it is hard to make it stick to the wall and falls off regularly.

    Thanks everyone!

He does like pulling the shampoo bottles off the side, and has some farm animal water squirters (which have now gone mouldy and will have to be binned!), but I thought some sort of water wheel would keep him more amused!

Will have a good look in Tesco.

  • I can't speak more highly of a selection of bottles and pots- unusual shapes and sizes- keeps mine (7 and 3) happy for ages. I have been known to select food and toiletries for the bottle! Easily recycled when they get manky too.

  • A certain 6 yr old I know can heartily recommend a watering can, a jug, and anything that floats. Also, we've got a submarine that was a few quid from a local toy shop, you wind it up and it zooms around underwater. I saw some bicarbonate of soda-powered ones in a gift shop recently, too. We also have a battery-powered submarine (when it's running it makes ace bubbles) we got from The Wee Gooseberry in Granton on Spey, they do have a website but it's taking ages to load.

My children have a set of stacking cups from ELC (£6 ish) and a set of SMA spoons for stirring. Keeps them amused for ages.
