What's the bet we'll see buy out(s) by directors, creditors screwed, new companies formed, and the demise of those new companies in about another years time? :whistle:There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0

If you have lots of outlets and debts today will be a bad day, as will every 3 months.0

that would happen in a good economic climate and even a bad one.0 -
These types of businesses are really taking the hit of a housing market that is barely functioning.0

I would say it is Rent 1/4 Day and they have tried going as long as they can.
Lets face it pay up front for a kitchen and wait Months is never going to be a winner in a recession.
Not when there are less riskier cheaper options (B&Q Hombase etc) available.
In our last house we got Homebase to design the kitchen ordered the stuff and got a local chippy to fit it.
Cost less than £5K all in (I think it was less than £4K TBH) when the people like moben wanted £10K+.
What should be noted is that B&Q have done OK of late, so it seems that the problem was more deep routed than just the hosing market.0 -

I think this is very sensible. One of the diy chains (can't remember which) had an almost identical kitchen to the one my parents spent 17k on.0 -
My brother got his kitchen, when renovating his repo, from Wickes. Surprisingly good quality for the price.0
