We don't eat soup because it's too filling for Christmas day. Have to leave room for the chocolates

We definately don't have room for soup with everything else that just has to be consumed:rotfl:

We don't have soup either, but possibly some kind of clear soup would be nice, and not too heavy. Or for something more festive, this sounds nice (parsnip, apple and chestnut soup).

My mom always makes christmas dinner and we do have soup! She boils? a ham joint and then uses the juice from it with water and adds some veg, it is a light, thin, clear soup and tastes lovely as a starter!

Another no soup here, we go straight for the roast dinner, and normally have the desserts for tea!!!!!

    We usually have lentil
  • On the odd occasion that we have had soup for starters,it has been broccoli and stilton soup, but it is quite heavy going,we tend to stick to things like smoked salmon or prawns.

If we've had soup it tends to be carrot and coriander or carrot and orange made to a slightly thinner consistency than we would normally have.
