    the pic on ebay of 12 month card seems to be of old xbox subscriptions, so this means that if i get hold of old subs cards for ver1 xbox, then it would work on 360. am i rite? if yes then anybody know where to get them instore in uk, as i gather its around 20 quid.

    I used one that was for the original xbox, but that one was released after the 360 came out, so it had "360 compatible" on the box. Ask the ebay seller if it is compatible, give it a try, and if it isn't get a refund

    look for normal xbox games that are cheaper and have a 12 month gold inside. i believe forza is one that has it.
    then just resell the game on ebay

    Just bought an xbox live 12 month subscription from ebay.. was the old xbox card.. no idea if comptaible with the new one..

    I'd assume so though!!! will give it a try when I get home anyway!

    Thing is I've already got 2 months free first.. can i activate them all at once and get 14 months???

    As far as i know the original xbox cards will work on the 360 and you can activate as many cards as you want so it will keep your subscription bumped up rather than using the 12 month card then the 2 month card

    Just bought the Gold 12 month subscription for £14.99 via https://www.lxdirect.com - used a couple of codes on https://www.ukhotdeals.com to bring it down from £39.99. I've been advised that it'll be delivered on 22/01 - don't mind waiting at that price.

    By the way, earlier today I bought a premium console plus Ghost Recon and Gears of War for £265 - should've been £299 but Ghost Recon has just been reduced to £15 in the HMV sale.:beer:

    £299 = Xbox premium + PGR3 + extra controller + viva piniata

    Swapped the latter fo £27 which bought be 2 play and charge controllers.. then bought smackdown.

    total £330 = xbox premium + extra controller + 2 chargers + pgr3 + smackdown 2007

    The ebay shop above isn't open any more and there don't seem to be any 12 month subscriptions for cheap american $$$ on ebay. Does anyone have any more ideas as to how to get it cheap - ish? They've got the 2 / 3 month ones but the other half says he wants the full year :confused:
