Not doing too badly. I only needed a bit of fruit and yogurts today, so went to the co*p instead of the bigger supermarkets as I would have no doubt spent more. The in laws have gone back to NZ, so getting back to normal cooking wise. MIL gave me about 10 oranges she hadnt used, I was thinking about making fruit leathers with them, does anybody know if it will work with oranges. I've googled it but cant find a straight answer.

Updating sig, £2.60 spend on bread and milk today. Planning some more batch cooking this weekend so will need some fresh veg and probably fruit at the beginning of the week, and only £15 left for the month
Hoping to come in as close to budget as I can!

I've just updated my sig. and spending very little out of the budget mainly due to going out to eat more this month (birthdays, days away, etc.) and also used some Capital Bonds vouchers in Farmfoods for a few bits and managed to combine with a £2.50 off voucher as well.
Yesterday I did the basics in Lidl and then went to Tesco for the wine offer, as I also have a £6 off £40 spend voucher. I ended up spending £36 instead of £62 but as the wine comes out of a different budget the net result was what I saved on the wine meant the rest of the shopping was free - chicken bhuna (reduced), eggs, teabads, 2 bread mix, 2 smoked salmon, oatcakes and milk. I also ended up with nine bottles of reasonable wine for £36 and I rather think I will be back for more at that price. Morning all,
Hope your having fun.
I have just totted up all my receipts and realised I had left out a Mr S spend so my total so far this month has jumped up by £50........
I think I am now addicted to bargins, yesterday I went to buy some dishwasher tabs on BOGOF and came out clutching a hoard of meat at less than half price - I now have enough food in the freezers to feed a small army - time for me to be more OS and actually buy what I NEED not just what is on offer.
Its also killing me not to order the meat slicer I am craving, I have promised myself I will not buy it till I have paid for it through NSD,s, I have about £15 of vouchers towards it so far.
Anyway enough of my rambling on - roast pork for dinner, massive piece, so loads left over.
Take care all xxNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Good morning everyone,
Islandmaid: don't know if you have a TKMax near you but I have seen lots of Craghopper clothes in the one near me at very reasonable prices.
Quite a nice day here so washing out on the line.
Now off to boil potatoes to make fish cakes. I just add M$S skinless and boneless tinned salmon(bought when it was half price), and some fresh parsley from garden. Brother gave potatoes from his allotment so very frugal meal. Will make quite a few so that I can freeze them for a quick and easy meal at a later date.
Hope you all have a good day.It takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!0 -
Just updated signature with spends from the other day that I had forgotten about. I had to guess a little on my spends at the market & also Home Ba*gains (as I can't find the receipt for there) but it is probably about right. Umm, about £100 left in budget & 12 days till pay day. Update been to Mr S and Mr A and Lidl- total spends £50.87 and £4.20 that leaves £159.00 for the rest of the month.
When i was in Lidl they had a shelf full of stuff just to take that was going out of date today couldn't believe it.
I got some free salad, pancakes, milk- there was loads of bread products didn't take any as I wouldn't have used it but got some chicken drumsticks too which I gave to my sister.0 -
