  • Well! it goes to show that having a cr.card in the purse is just looking for trouble!
Went to my local Budgens to get a bottle of milk(£1/2lt) and they had my favourite chocolate FOGOF (thorntons will be the death of me) but I did only buy the two. So that was £1.71 on my card instead of using only the £1 in my purse.:rotfl:

Was the best chocolate ever though!!!:o

Hi everyone - not been on for a few days and there are so many pages to read.

Well so far the budget's looking very healthy. I went back to Lxxdl for the second week running (It's a brand new store and I had £5 off a £30 spend to use). This time I spent £57 on the debit card (because they don't take credit) and the cupboards and fridge are full again.

    Have a good Friday everyone.

Just a quickie to add £1 to my signature on an on offer bottle of Mr Muscle at the corner shop. "Big shop" tomorrow - trying to keep to less than £20:rotfl:
  • £1.33 spent yesterday on rolls and milk, so glad I am doing this, saving so much money, especially as we are moving next week and need to buy pretty much everything for our new home :D

Not sure when to do my big shop this weekend, think my Mum will be getting some milk and bread today (we live with them at the moment and buy our own food apart from bread and milk where we sort of take it in turns).. Think I will go tomorrow and take ds with me (kind of like the time with him just the two of us)..DH and the kids are going away next Wednesday to dh's parents and I am joining them on the Friday night, we are then driving up to Scotland for the week with family so I only need to feed all of them till Tuesday, then just me for a few days so might get myself some nice fish (only me in the family will eat it :()....

I def need to do a meal plan as otherwise I will get stuff willy nilly and I don't want to go away with mums freezer full as she will moan if she can't get anything in there...

Hope everyone is having a good day...

    Morning everyone

Just an update on the spends done my weekly shop at MrL this morning, spent £70.62 - couldn't get the potatoes I wanted so stopped at the farm shop on the way home, and spent another £1.50 so total for today is £72.12. Really feel pleased with this as now really thinking I may stay within my budget this month. I have set the budget high as was overspending every month and was wondering what was the point, so have started high and then will look to lower it once I've get back in to the swing of things. Have also had to get used to not having my baby American fridge/freezer - it went wrong and I've now got another fridge/freezer but it's not got so much capacity - it's still bigger than a normal fridge/freezer but not what I'm used too. Also the kids being off school doesn't help, they seem to eat continously!

Will be do some baking shortly, so we have some treats for the weekend and into next week. I will need some fresh supplies in the middle of the week, sandwich meat and milk - so £5 spend approx but shouldn't be too much more than that.

Have a good Friday and great weekend everyone

I'm surprised I managed to go out and do my weekly shop today after my morning run, got soaked!:rotfl:

Did my usual stops at A!di and Morrison$, spending £40.31 and £16.15 respectively. Couldn't resist the blueberries in A!di this morning, will probably make some healthy blueberry muffins. Only problem with that is stopping OH from scoffing them all.:p
