what time is Christmas dinner?

Options
Being nosy really but what time are you aiming to serve dinner?

OH wants us to sit down late (4pm ish) whereas I'm leaning more towards 1-2pm ish. I'd prefer to get the cooking ans washing up done with and then e able to have a sit down and enjoy the afternoon rather than be doing cooking then. We'll be off to church in the morning plus we have a 7yo and a 9month old so its not like I can laze around then

  • I agree with you ew. Dinner has to be served 1:30ish, thats what time I'm aiming for. You need time to sprawl in front of TV, eat chocolate before tea. Teatime is for tea not dinner!! As you're the head chef, and by the sounds of it pot washer, dinner time is completely at your discretion!!
ps- I thought it was the law that the men folk did the dishes christmas day?

Well we have a huge breakfast at about 11am so we are not really ready for lunch that early.

I usually have it ready for about 3-4pm then we don't have to worry about tea as we pig out the rest of the day :)

    Christmas dinner is......whenever it's READY!
  • We usually eat about 1 - 1.30pm. Don't have big breakfast (if time for any) so ready for it by then.

12 -1pm, I reckon the average would be 12.30, that gives the afternoon sleep/digest/wake up more food lol!! xx
