Dla review and renewal advice needed pls

Options
Hi all in March this year out of the blue i received a horrendous letter stating "we have evidence concerning your entitlements to DlA" with that came a 50/60 page review form, i was shocked and called them up and was told that this letter means that they have evidence about me and this usually comes from the fraud line  this made me so angry and upset and i began thinking who have i upset or who and why would anyone do this to me.
Well my local DIAL were fab and helped me fill it out then i sent it back, kept on calling up every 3/4 weeks to see if any answer, then i finally got a letter from my orthopaedic stating that i will be going on the waiting list for a total knee replacement op (i am 43 so young to have this op ) so i made a copy and called them to tell them i am sending it it then got the letter to say i am on tje correct levels of DLA.
I was put through to the section to be told that there was no info about me and it was a random review, i was horrified to know that these letters are scaring so many people and there is no info doubting their award but just a random review.:mad::mad::mad:

My award is up for renewal in August so they send me a renewal form (they did state b4 i did not need a renewal as this form will do) its now just 6 weeks till my award is up:eek:
I have an app with dial to fill in the renewal form and i have my consultants letter and a letter from my social worker from the disability team backing up my claim and also informing them i am waiting to see the OT again this time for adaptions as not able to manage the stairs any more.
My question is " if they just one week ago accepted that i am on the right award and have been this past 2 yrs does that mean that i should not have a problem with my renewal which i will be sending in next week. "
I have read that so many people are not having their award renewed and this scares me big time.

Sorry if i have waffled on a bit :) thank for taking the time to read my long winded post, take care x

The thing is, within the DWP the left hand often doesn't know what the right hand is doing, so my advice is to get that form filled out and sent off as soon as. We just have to jump through the hoops they set, often randomly, and your previous review may or may not be taken into account.
    may your good days grow

Thanks Clouty for getting back to me, have got the form filled in by dial and also got a letter from my social worker, a care plan from her, letter from my consultant confirming unless my knee miraculously gets better by October i will be going on the waiting list for a total knee replacement and also a an app letter from the pain clinic who i see every 3 months. I am also going to get my doc to sign it on Monday and send it off. With my review i only had my care plan sent off and nothing else but they agreed i was on the correct award so hopefully i will still be on same reward in 4 weeks time.
    Ty again x

Not being nosey, but are you actually claiming DLA because of a damaged knee?

My brother in law had it done privately last year (complete new metal joint - his left leg is now 1" longer than his right LOL!!), he is 53. For years his walk was awful.

He applied for DLA for that reason, pain and not able to use the old joint. They refused him saying that with the new joint he would be as good as new.

In fact after 6 months or so, he is back into his sports in a big way.

Walper i decided to check out ur posts all 10 of them and u r offensive and rude and each of ur posts ur attacking or belittling people who genuinely want help or to help others and are not a TROL like u, so stop posting and go and find another forum to trol around !!
