Landlords Insurance - Extra Legal Expenses

I'm just about to take out landlords insurance and LV seems to be the best value. I've got the option to add legal expenses (although the policy already includes legal expenses).

Now I know that each of the legal expenses cover different things I just wonder do people normally take these out? The insurance doesn't seem to be provided by LV so I assume this is something that property quote direct are trying to sell me separately because I am purchasing the LV policy through them?

The following is what they offer before I go through to pay for my policy and I'm pretty sure these are all completely separate?

Legal Expenses £35.00 Per Property (Club Membership)
Legal Expenses Incl. Rent Guarantee £85.00 Per Property (Club Membership)
Emergency Assistance £90.00 (Inc. 6% Tax) Per Property

Any advice welcome!

    Has anyone else taken out landlords insurance recently? Did you take cover for extra legal expenses?

    I did with Alan boswell. It was an extra £20. It doesn't include a rent guarantee.

    I'm happy to take it if it is something that has the possibility of being useful. For example I'd take legal cover on car insurance but I wouldn't opt for break down cover because I am already a member of the AA. The policy as it stands is only £125 so an extra £35 won't break the bank!
