  • £5.37 into the pot today! :j Best day in a long time. Went shopping to pick up a few bits & used £4.50 worth of coupons, so the money that I would have spent went in the pot, and I also put the change into the pot too :A;)
    2nd Purse #036 £46.69/£50.00 :) 3rd Purse £30.02
  • DD2 who is 7, decided to tidy under the stairs! Yes she did survive the ordeal.

After 3 trips out from under the stairs, she had found 22p in change for the pot. Bless her she is becoming as obsessed as I am about putting money into the pot.:D

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning everyone
Thanks for the encouragement Sue I can't remind people to update their signatures and then not do it myself, by heck I'd have to go and stand in the corner or sit on the naughty seat. Thanks to the OT, I've dented the debt by 30% now and knocked 13 months off my DFD.

Still potting my usual £2 a day plus any loose change, starting the next £2 & 50p tin off for our next major holiday to NY & Chicago in 2013, lets see how much we can save for that one, I think there will be a major shortage of £2 coins by then!

Have a great day stay safe and keep saving X

thought I would pop in and share this story with you all as it made me think of all the potters on here

DH is treasurer of our church and each sunday he collects the offering, counts it, bags it and banks it the next day. Those who are members of the church have little brown envelopes with their member number on it (think dinner money envelopes) to put their offering in as it can be traced and gift aided. last week DH was working so asked me to count it for him. in the offering there was one brown envelope with no number on it. I wasn't sure what to do with it so left it til last to document seperately. When I did open it it had £5 worth of 20ps in it :rotfl:

Sounds like a MSE'er to me - someone sat there sunday morning raiding their sealed pot as they didn't have any money (probably the result of a few NSD's in the week :D)

So own up who was it???? :rotfl:
