Welcome Squeeeek, we always like new members here :) grab a tin and pot away, and keep your eyes to the ground for roadkill, we always love it when we find other peoples dropped pennies :D

If you want to be a bit MSE with your anniversary (like I do :D) you could make him a cake instead of the bought card. I always make my DH a coffee cake for birthday and anniversary as its his favourite. I will say he doesnt get one any other time of the year as I like him to reeeeeeeeeeeally appreciate it when I do :rotfl:

2 x £1 into 'himselfs' tin today which is from some bagged up change when we emptied the other pot for the hol. pretty sure ive also got some change in my purse so ill pop that into my schrapnel tin after.

Off to be all old style MSE and make 'himself' a stew for when he finishes work as he's on a late shift this week :D which he can then top off with some homemade victoria sponge and homemade cookies :D . . . . jakesmum <--- domestic goddess :rotfl:

Oh yes I love to bake! cant eat anything I make though lol but hubby is more than happy to eat my share :D thats why I keep the coffee cake for special occasions as he gets so spoilt with everything else! Have sent him off to work with 2 massive rolls filled with bacon and boiled egg slices, homemade cake and biscuits. His work mates hate sitting with him at lunch lol, before we were married with kids (12 years ago!!) I used to send him to work each day with a box of goodies to share with the lads but not now we're all MSE, they'll just have to ask their own wives :rotfl:

Oh forgot to add I also have to bake a whole seperate looad of cakes and buscuits as my son is a coeliac lol so I get to do my hobby twice :D

Wow....sounds like you are more of a bake-a-holic than me. I used to send my OH with bits to share until money got this tight now i freeze biscuit and cookie dough, muffins, sliced cake etc to use later rather than feeding the masses. I do make a cheesecake once a month for a customer that breeds pheasants, for two birds and swap biscuits for eggs with another customer :o

oh now how much do I wish I could find someone to swap cakes and biscuits for eggs!! I get through about 2 dozen a week when im on a baking roll and all our meals are homemade aswell. At nearly £3 a dozen for medium size its an expensive item. Might have to start going down the farm again as he was selling them £1 for 6 :) ooh you've put me in the mood to bake something now! hmm might do some shortbread or replace the cake I made saturday night which 'himself' and the disposal bin that is my 3 year old daughter have demolished . .

hi squeeeek! i feel like i'm being followed! :P

i LOVE baking. tried and failed for years and years then something clicked and i finally got it - since then everyone has got cakes and bread as presents. BUT my oven broke recently!! i'm still in mourning for it :( i did manage to make some stove-top biccies in my wok though, and they went down surprisingly well with my mum and OH. only problem is i can only fit about 4 at a time in the pan :( (my oven was also my grill and microwave, the whole thing's packed in... we're barbecuing most of our dinners!)
