Hi everyone

I'm amazed and astounded at everyone's totals - I've been away all day so haven't read them all but I've skimmed a few pages and you've all done fabulously well - WELL DONE!!!!:beer:

I've added up my own pot and my total is:
£257.70

I will confess to a small twinge of disappointment because I really wanted to make the £300 mark. My original target was £400 but I didn't really earn any money in the first half of this year, so I'm going to stop feeling disappointed and say 'Hooray - £250 of hard cash to spend on pressies' instead. :xmassmile

I've popped £7.70 back in the jar to seed next year's pot. I've also added £5.50 to the pot from my purse.

The £1 haul was quite good - I had 72 of those. The £2 haul was a letdown - a mere 12 of those. :eek: So here's my vow - next year, every £2 I receive is going in the pot, no exceptions, no excuses. There also weren't enough notes, so I'm hoping to bung in a fiver a week in there.

Not bad for my first proper sealed pot challenge - but next year I want to double that, so I'm going for a £500 target. Do I keep my same challenge number, Sue and Sparky?

And a big THANK YOU to you two for running this challenge - without it, I'd have £250 less to spend this Christmas. :beer::j:T:T

Excellent saving, peaceandfreedom!!! :T You're not allowed to be disappointed, me either and all those who were hoping for more; we should all be over the moon at having done SO well!!!

Ha ha following up my own post.

I've decided I didn't excited enough in my Grand Total post. I've just realised that I get to go shopping with £250 in my purse that didn't come out of a bank account, has no detrimental impact on my budget and I don't have to get home from shopping and total up my receipts with a sinking heart.

Instead, it's all cash that I've saved and lovingly nurtured all year. TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY QUID!!! I've NEVER done that before, EVER!

WOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOO!!
