hi guys hope everyone is well
i have just emptied my purse for new pot £1.98 to add i have decided to save 1p,2p,5p,10p, and £2 coins as i dont get many of them.
i got a sweetjar from the newsagent today so i am going to seal it and put them in there very excited
i am not going to keep a total of what money i put in think it will be more fun when i come to open it

Thank you Sue, I really couldn't wait any longer but I didn't want to go behind your back and open it!
This time last year I decided I wanted to save the money I potted towards a passport and I am delighted to report that I have potted £172.67 altogether - I really did not believe that I could ever reach this amount, after reaching the £100 mark I thought I would pot an extra £10 at most so I'm really suprised that I managed to earn so much just from my loose change. My mum took a guess that there was £25 in there, she was very suprised to hear the grand total!
I'll definitely be back for next year, this challenge has been so inspiring.Thank you competition posters!

Just pinched a £2 coin off the OH... he now knows to give them to me wohahaha (did give him the change instead though).
My grand total is £54 please, there won't be anymore going in before tomorrow. No idea how I got it to an exact figure though.
Next year I'm not going to keep count. *runs off to make pots*

Very well done indeed, kerri!!! :T I truly think it's better NOT to keep account, it's not so exciting and doesn't allow the build up, plus I'm sure it entices us to save even more, to think before we spend too!
