    Helloooooooooooooooo Charleybear

welcome to the challenge, our fearless leader Sue-UU will appear at some point to give you your very own number which is yours for the rest of time, we're a bit like hoarders here, once you appear we keep you forever :D She will also ask you too read th very first post which she diligently posts at the beginning of every new challenge, and also to pop your number in your sig. Be warned she then chases you with her broomstick if you dont comply!

But until then, start scouring the house, road and your husbands/wifes pockets for any loose change :rotfl:

oooo jakes mum - sounds painful as a fellow sciatica (sp?) sufferer I feel your pain.

I did a sponsored horse ride in fancy dress for children in need on Saturday and my back was feeling it yesterday also all my change went into that bucket we were carrying around.

I have this morning been to get my work lunches for the week and put the £1.50 change I had into my tin already to keep me away from the nasty vending machine. :D

Well went to post office and had to pay the woman £25.75 in postage costs

Then went to waitrose to get bread, milk, fabric softener and Jakes cereal . . . and in the door was 3 for 2 on maris pipers  they were in my basket before I knew it, carried them all the way round the shop (ooo my back did hurt) right to the till before I realised that I was only buying them cos they were on offer and the use by date was 5 days time  so I put them back :o So I only bought what I went in for, for the first time EVER!! Then the nice lady gave me 2 x £2 and it would have been rude not to pop them in the pot, so in they have gone with another 10p to keep them company :o

Of course you can join charleybear! A very warm welcome to you. biggrin.gif Have great fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much

At least you already have a good start charleybear, keep saving and you'll certainly be reaping the rewards from doing so this time next year. :)

Good morning everyone, I hope you're all fine and ready for a good week, hopefully.

That rabbit with the egg is a brilliant example of us all with our pots, Observer, very well thought out. If only we had a snapshot of us all at the time of opening ~ what a picture! ;)

I have to agree on the addictive part, mumof3plusoh, and if there's one good thing to be addictive about ~ it's saving!

    Very good indeed, Ellie_B. :)

e4rub, it really was lovely to read your words, true too.

You're not really going to eat that chocolate.....are you, kerri?! I do so get a mental picture of Observer's rabbit now!

    Very well done, Cherry.

sparky, you took the words right out of my mouth :D...though, hang on a mo, you've got no room to talk with your DW and her purse! Aside from that we girls know how our men hate holes in their pockets..so we simply remove them for their own good. :grinheart ;)

broomstick you say  jakes-mum, you mind I don't clock you one with it!!! You want to know how to take care of that back...stop sneezing! :rotfl: Hope it gets better soon.

Very well done on doing the sponsored horse ride for CIN, Lam! I hope you also are soon feeling better; imagine how Matt Baker feels after all those hundreds of miles on a rickshaw!!!!! Still, 1.3 million is a heck of a lot to raise for CIN!!!! :j

    Right then folks
, including today we have 10 more days of POTTING left so let's do all we can between now and then

Enjoy your day folks and keep safe, keep well and KEEP SAVING!

Yup, I've already eaten most of the Cadburys bar (they're only 100g bars). I'm more surprised that I haven't eaten both of them.

NSD for me today so unless I find roadkill, no pennies either =(

   I have a confession!

Sue-UU!! I tried to stop him!! I threw myself on his tin but my 9st weight was no match to his 18st and workers strength! He opened his pot! He couldnt wait any longer to see what was in there, and we all had a guess as to what we thought . . . Lily thought there was £10 :rotfl: well after the big count up there was . . . . £260 :T:j He got a bit upset when he saw how much money he used to literally set on fire and I have already snaffled £70 for his store card which is now clear and put £10 petrol in the car :D the other £170 is sat in a clear jar in froont of me, im quite enjoying just looking at it :rotfl:

I still have my tin to open which I refuse to open until grand opening day (despite himself trying to convince me!) so I will add his total to my sig and then give my grand total on the 1st :D
