Not particularly long (unfortunately!), around 1 year to 18 months I'd say. My sister and I went when we were about 11 and 9: I loved it, my sister didn't. I left just before a show in which I was one of the main parts too and I was really upset over it!
We both also did swimming/running competitively and we both adored doing the sport so we gave up other activities (like Stagecoach) to concentrate on that instead.0 -

I can see my daughter giving up her other activities for stagecoach the way she is going. Its expensive but we feel its worth the money.Shut up woman get on my horse!!!0 -

you can help her with her London work on the pc at home, get an idea of where the kids are being taken on their trip and then look up the relevant websites of those attractions with her.0 -
there will be other kids who missed the trip too - the teacher should have notes about the sites visited etc - and the internet is great for getting info on them.
let her do the play - its personal for her and she has already put work into it.0 -

The play 100%. She co-wrote it and is starring in it - it will give her great feelings of self worth and achievement and as the OP said - anything you want to research about London is only a Google click away. x x0

Unanimous decision for the play it looks like! FFIW I too think playPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I would definitely do the play. Without question! Especially as she's going to London with your mum soon anyway - and after doing all the post-trip school work she will be familiar with London.
I used to love acting back in my hay-day it did wonders for my confidence.0
