Having a bad day already

Bit late now I know, but I'd have told him straight out that I couldn't afford the £30, so unless he would pay it for you, then you're sorry but you'll have to submit your apologies for absence.
Think what else you could do with that £30. A takeaway, wine and DVD would still leave enough change for the same again at the weekend!
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

it is right about the boss putting his/hers shortcomings onto us, I had a foul day last week and was going to get my coat it was that bad but when I went in the next day it was all absolutely fine again and as if nothing had happened, to think I had been up half the night, well upset and crying over the way I had been treated and the boss....mood had lifted!!!
As for the party don't go, not compulsory and £30 would come in lovely around the xmas time for something much better than that!! xx0 -
Sorry to hear that you're having a bad day....perhaps your boss is stressed too ..though he shouldn't take it out on you...if you don't want to go..it's not compulsory...then like the others say stay at home and just chill0

Where I work, all those on my grade are all feeling crap / sressed out about how work is turning out for us ATM, so none of us went to "official" office party on Saturday (would rather stick pins in our eyes!!). Instead, we went out tonight to a pub for a meal, had a 3 hour b*tching session, a lovely meal (better than they had at the "official" party by all accounts) and had a REALLY great time.
