Just called in for a quick catch-up before I start again. All go at your house skipsmum, hopefully things will settle when the baby's born, the window's in .....:rotfl:Oh for a bit of peace and quiet:eek:
Sorry holidays didn't go as planned bratz and lolly but at least you've had a change of scene and a break. Haircut sounds good too bratz. Lolly, mascara is my 100% must have every day (after moisturiser). I look so tired without it.
DD1 and DGD have invited themselves around to eat tonight. I think they fancy a proper meal but haven't got around to food shopping yet. As they were moving, they had run the cupboards right down and no fresh stuff. I've just got some HM bolognese out of the freezer so I'll make a lasagne and nip out and buy some salads to go with it.
DH gone over to do some more bits in the house but cooking will be my contribution for today! I've cut my nails really short as I'm not used to housework and the cleaning up at DD's house was wrecking them. Next week I'll be cleaning her flat before she hands that back.

Hello Ladies
My goodness but we're a busy bunch at the moment, what with new babies, new houses and getting ready for the start of the new school year. Good luck to everyone with all that's going on.
And ....................as usual, it's the female of the species that seems to keep the show on the road. Maybe we're just too good at it :rotfl:
I often say that in my next life I am coming back as an air-headed bimbo - I do get a tad fed up with being "Capable Kate" at times. Ooooh I can just see me as a trophy girlfriend:cool:
Today - in addition to OH, I'm feeling guilty because I've not spent any time recently with my parents, my OH's dad is due a phone call - we'll do in a minute but dreading it - and I feel really bad that I am not really able to offer much in the way of practical help to my sister who is due for some rather unpleasant surgery next week.
There's just not enough hours in the day or enough of me to stretch around. As for the mountain of paperwork - did the most urgent this morning, the house work that's piling up and then the physio says "Why don't you rest" Ha!
Story of our lives isn't it?
Plenty of time to rest when I'm six feet under or doddering about in a nursing home.
On a positive - the man came to look at my cooker today - it's fixable:T
Managed to make a start on some exercise yesterday - hopefully we'll squeeze a bit more in today before I cook dinner.
Re the Llamas We've had Shetland ponies and those miniature horses (Flavellas??) in the field at the back of our house for a few years now. Llamas appeared a few months ago.
I just assumed they were alpacas - I know that some farmers have been experimenting with keeping them for a little while now. But when we asked him because we thought they looked more like llamas he confirmed that they were indeed llamas.
There's four adults and now three babies. One big one (I presume the Daddy and his wives).
Today the big one was munching away again at my brussels so I went out to try and shoo him away - all his family came rushing over to see what was going on.
I can't believe how tame and cheeky they are. They are beautiful without a doubt - I just wish they would leave my vegetables alone:p
Anyway glad to see you are all still on track - tonight will paint my nails.
Bye for now x0 -
Evening :hello:
I haven't caught up with all the posts yet, will do that in a mo.
Mr tru broke his wrist in three places on monday. I'm not at all medical so can't remember all the names of the bones, but the doc said it was the main bone, the scaphoid and another little one. They put a temporary plaster on. We thought we'd have to postpone the holiday (I phoned the cottage owner, she's happy for us to change). He went back today and the doc said he's happy for him to drive as long as the insurance company agree. They said yes :j
I bought a new foot file today and a pot of aqueous cream from Boots.
Oooh must go, mr tru is on the phone to his brother, looks like we're having our 2 nephews tonight, their brother is in the middle of a major meltdown (he's severely autistic) and BIL and SIL have to take him to hospital.
Catch up later.Bulletproof0 -
Hey ladies back from hols this afternoon. The journey that wouldn't end eel!!! I love Norfolk but its a bit of a pig to get to as there is no main motorway, just lots of very busy A roads.
Anyway eaten like a pig on holiday, I know I get into holiday mode and think I should eat just because I am on holidaymindful eating went out of the window. Just feel I am never going to end this cycle......
Anyway holiday was lovely, a very much needed break. Would feel more recharged had DS not decided to wake at 4.30am!!! He finally went back to sleep but 3 of us squeezes on a small double bed in caravan wasn't exactly restful.
Not caught up with last weeks posts but hugs all round to all those that need them.
Tru sorry to hear about mr tru's wrist, hope your nephew calms down soon xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Just a quicky to say I am still lurking, but we're of on our official honeymoon tomorrow (our 1st anniversary is on Saturday - where did THAT year go?!) to Portugal, so I will have to catch up when we get home.
Had my eyelashes tinted today - saves on the panda look in the pool- along with legs & eyebrows waxed, and my toenails minxed in a lovely aqua & silver cheetah foil - very glam! Am all packed with my maxi dresses and walking stuff...we go from one extreme to the other when on holidays! I've got my nail buffer in my bag to keep me occupied on the flight, and plenty of sunscreen
Back in a couple of weeks!

I know, I've been saying "we're going on holiday soon" and hubby reminds me that it's actually our honeymoon! I almost forgot to buy him an anniversary card0 -
Have a great holiday/honeymoon floss:wave:0

Have a lovely holiday/honeymoon Floss
To all those who are glad to be back from your holidays - it's true isn't it - there's no place like home. It is lovely to be able to go away but it's always nice to be back in your own nest, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water - all our little creature comforts.
Well my positives/B]for today. Went to WW - I've put 2lbs on but, all things being considered, I don't think that's too bad at all.
My 2nd positive - just waiting for the cooker man - he's managed to get the replacement bits he needs and he can fix my oven - £80 ish - a whole lot better than £500 plus for a new oven.
My third positive - it's a lovely day and I'm going to get outside and have a little potter in the garden.
The day started very badly I'm afraid and I completely lost it and didn't just shout at my poor OH - I just screamed and ranted. I feel so guilty now.
Why did I lose it - I found out that one of the carers was putting cotton wool down the sink - no wonder the pipe was smelling.
I mentioned it this morning and she denied it.
And no matter what I tried to do - there were constant interruptions - I couldn't eat my breakfast, have a cup of coffee or even have a quick wash without either the carer or OH calling for me.
I know these things happen and it all sounds so trivial - but there are times ........................
Anyway his full time PA has taken him to Costco so at least I've got a bit of time to myelf. Time to have a quick whizz round with the hoover and then out into the garden.
Feeling very low and weepy right now but am determined to get back on track. Let's stick with it.
So ladies - keep me posted with your news, views, success stories and woes.
September 1st today - 20 days until the Autumn Equinox when we'll be half way to our deadline.

Hello everyone,
Long time no 'see' I can't go into any detail regarding my absence just that it was family related  I'm one of these peeps that have difficulty talking about big problems, it never seems to help so just need to get over it in my own time! I never practice what I preach :rotfl::rotfl:
I noticed that a lot of us were feeling down so did not want to come and add to itneedless to say during my dark days ;)my regime went out of the window and I put on 3lbs
My positives are, I am back on track, I am having my hair done tomorrow, the dragged threw a hedge look does not suit me, next week I am booked in for a pedicure, manicure and eyebrow wax :j
I have been reading the posts but have not really been 'with it' sooo
:grouphug:to all that need them :j:jthat have kept up the positives (the bead is lovely Maman) and a gentle nudge to those of you that need it, you know who you are
