Go on, treat yourself in the CS.....:D

Nooooo - I'm supposed to be decluttering not recluttering.

Having said that I did spot a pretty bracelet yesterday ...............Going back today to take some more bags - maybe........:D

Buffy I know what you mean about only being able to concentrate on the decluttering and have to let the fab regime slide a bit.

My hands are a disgrace but until I've finished in the garage - there's not a lot of point. A nice manicure when I've done.

Maisie - you're doing amazingly well to be even thinking about beauty routines let alone managing to do some. When mine were tots I hardly managed to brush my teeth and it would be midday before I got dressed half the time.

Lizzie When ours were littlies we couldn't afford foreign hols, I used to save all my pennies and we would splash out on the "Sun holidays - we had some fantastic times. Cheap as chips and we managed to see loads of England.

When we were a bit richer we paid the princely sum of £100 for a cheap tatty touring caravan. We tarted it up a bit and we holidayed all over the place. I have some really fond memories of those holidays.

The boys loved that caravan and we had some great times. Eventually it died and had to go the the great caravan park in the sky.

It's easy when you know how

My lovely neighbour has filled the skip for me with the all the big heavy stuff. I'm astonished because it's only half full.:rotfl:

He simply broke everything up and then fitted it all in, lining the sides and filling the nooks and crannies. He said it was like doing a jigsaw.

Well worth a few bottles of Stella Artois - his favourite tipple. I've said I'll hang on to the skip for a day or two more so he and any other neighbours can fill up the extra space.

Anyway this decluttering malarky is going well, really got the bit between my teeth.

Going to have lunch then take a set of dining chairs and a TV cabinet thingy to the YMCA. I've had loads of bargains from there in the past so its good to pay them back.

Another two bags for the CS on the way to visit OH - take a look at that bracelet if it's still there.

Spent a nice evening in front of the chiminea last night, my neighbour came round so I opened some wine and we had a nice chat whilst watching the flames.

Feeling a bit dismayed today - my trousers feel a bit tight. :( Not weighed myself but you just know don't you. Mind - it's my own fault. Need to get back with the healthy eating - less bread, less pasta.

    Have a good day x

Just popping in quickly with some good news...

DGD1 is 14 and her teacher put her in for GCSE maths, two years early. She got a B! We're so delighted for her and although she's at the age when she doesn't do enthusiasm, I know she's pleased too.

Been for my eyebrow tidy, makes such a difference. I always look so much more awake.

DH and BIL are doing a few bits in DD1's new house this morning so they're coming here soon for me to feed them. Must go and put pasta on....

    Back later.

Fantastic news...you must be very proud.

I love getting my eyebrows done (I usually get my fringe trimmed the same day so I get double the benefit ;)) and we now have a threading place in town that does them for just £3 :j

    Hello x
Still reading and following the thread and sending you all encouragement on your journeys :T:T:T

I have something to post today as most days it's an effort just getting dressed. I do always manage it but some days are easier than others.

Anyway today I had a shower and a face pack (which smelt divine) and then I am just back from having my hair coloured and cut. I was getting very grey growth showing through so now it has been magically covered. I went grey overnight - yes it does happen - last christmas. I had a procedure and it went wrong and I felt very ill and was hospitalised. Now that sounds dramatic but literally Kids Dad noticed the grey in my roots the next day and my hairdresser has said that it is all grey now:( Now Im not old so will need to keep colouring it for a good few years yet. My hairdresser is a miracle worker and does not overcharge either so Im very lucky:T:T:T

On Saturday Im having my eye brows waxed and eye lash tinted so will feel much more confident about the way I look.

    Hugs x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

LL- sounds like you have lovely neighbours. well done on the decluttering.
Maman- well done to your GD. My son should have some results but tbh don't think he's that interested -he doesn't even seem to know if they are exams he's taken early or just modules towards his GCSE's- he's yr 11 next.

my brows are ready too but will wait till kids back at school and my purse isn't so stretched:D

Had really good afternoon with my friend - couple o beers, good old chat whilst kids did their own thing. After week I've had its just what I needed.
    face exercise later then zumba
will try and re-do nails tomorrow - haven't lasted at all this week for some reason.

May I join you all? I haven't read all the posts, but could really use some gorgeousness right now. I'm only slightly employed at the moment and feeling very dispirited about the state of the house/employment/state of myself. I live in jeans and baggy jumpers and simply don't know how to dress well and look good on a budget. I shall have a browse through the pages and make a start somewhere small - maybe nails? I have a lovely, mostly unused Burts Bees manicure thing.

I have recently found this rather luscious website, which is very good for looking at different ways of dressing

Hello ladies - still here and lurking. All gone to pot whilst the children are off as we're busy doing stuff, although I am keeping up the exercises and I'm repeating the 30DS!

I am trying to check in once a day and read all your posts, although that makes me sound like a bit of a stalker, you all know I mean it in the nicest possible way! The weight loss is going very well too, and I'm on course to lose the stone I wanted to lose over the six week holiday so I'm made up about that.

Will be back in full swing on the 6th September xxx

    Good morning all

Welcome Polly, nice to have you aboard. Thanks for the link - will take a proper look later.

Hi PK - well done you on the weight loss - that's good going. You're making me feel guilty.:rotfl: Not doing too well weight wise. Fabwise not really that good either.

Maman - :j:j:j for GD 's maths - she obviously has a real aptitude.

Well raining here - going to do a bit of painting, visit OH, ASDA, and then a bit more sorting in the garage. Few more bits for the skip.

Managed to get a last minute appt for the chiropodist yesterday so no excuse now - must start walking.

By the by she'd sold most of my jewellery so I've taken some more in. I even got a commission for a necklace for a lady who needed one making larger.

Have decided to put special magnetic clasps onw some of my pieces, also special easy fasteners for bracelets.

I've noticed that now that OH cannot fasten jewellery for me there was a lot of stuff I couldn't wear, so I've adapted my favourite pieces.

I was telling the chiropodist and she said a lot of her ladies had the same problem - they lived alone, or they had arthritis or they hated it when they chipped their nail varnish or broke a nail when struggling with fasteners.

    I think I'm onto something don't you.

Anyway my last physio will be Tuesday next week so I will restart WW next Thursday. I've not weighed myself but I feel that it is probably slap on the wrist time.:(

Anyway no more procrastination :o - it's back with the programme.

Decluttering still going well.:D Feels good.

    Hello Everyone

Well it's been raining all day - got soaked when I went to visit OH - felt all damp and miserable so gave Asda a miss.

Had a quick look at what is in the cupboards/freezer etc and came to the conclusion that I could probably wait a while yet. I'm aiming to shop from the freezer and cupboards this week with just a top up of milk, bread etc. Quite a bit of veg/salads in the garden.

I much prefer shopping locally as and when and I do seem to spend less that way. Might even start walking to the shops next week. That way I will be limited to what I can physically carry. I'll get some walking done and save money on groceries too - win-win.

I've been sadly remiss on the beauty and exercise regimes today, however gave the house a good tidy up and made a start re-organising the garage. It was all very physical - especially lugging stuff around in the garage so I'll clock that one as my work out.;)

I'm really pleased with my decluttering process. Now that some of the larger items have been removed I'm starting to see the wood from the trees.

I am astonished at how easy it is and how good I feel about it all. I had thought that I would find it difficult to part with things but actually I have become very gung ho about it all.

I think it's because I am giving it away and therefore I am not attaching any monetary value to it. If I was trying to sell it I would be dithering about whether to use an auction house, do a car boot, use E-bay or hold items back until the economy improves and the market rises.

I now have a shelf in my wardrobe for my handbags:j I can see them at a glance and decide which one I will use. Normally they are all stashed away in nooks and crannies and it's just too much trouble sometimes to play hunt the bag. I end up using the same one most of the time. This way I will actually get round to using them all. Less is definitely proving to be more.

I've even managed to part with a few handbags:rotfl:

Just had a quick look at my make up and toiletry stash. Apart from bath products, shampoos etc I don't think I'll be needing any for quite a while. I haven't even started on the goody bag that my sister's boss sent.

Anyway off to bed - will have a good beautify in the morning before picking OH up.

Hope you are all doing well and have a fab weekend. Enjoy the bank holiday on Monday.

    G'night all x
