Okay well i've done perfume and makeup today and i've been trying to keep good posture, even in my work seat. It's made me realise how sore I usually am by the end of the day.

My top tip is one i've stolen from India Knight (one of my gurus).

Put a blob of tinted moisturiser and a blob of foundation on the back of your hand, mix together then apply. It stretches your foundation out and keeps things looking dewy.

Thought we'd have a bit of fun next week.

So ............next week is Frugal Frump to Fab Fashion Week

In order to prepare for this why not watch "The Kennedys" on the box tonight.

If you're not really interested in the storyline just give it a few minutes and take note of just how glamourous they were - the whole family but especially Jackie.

Jackie Kennedy later Onassis (Aristotle Onassis, the Greek shipping magnate, worth billions) was for nearly 30 years, one of the biggest style icons of the 20th century. Admittedly she spent money like no-one before or since - even Onassis was appalled.

However, her influence on the fashion world still reverberates to this day even though she's been dead for years. Michelle Obama's fashion style owes a lot to Jackie.

Maman recently lashed out and bought herself some Rayburn sunglasses called "Jackie O" - says it all.

    Anyway that's your homework. Enjoy.

    Bye for now x

Oh I'll enjoy watching that! As I said a few days ago, my favourite nail polish is even called Jackie Oh My!! I love love love the fifties style (possibly the slightly rose tinted view I have of the 50s style, but hey, who's counting!!), even my kitchen is very 50s. When I have lost the weight I want to lose, I am totally coveting a Miss Vivian of Holloway dress *drools*

I know it's early 60s really, the era of the Kennedys but as my OH says, that's a bit modern for me!!! ANd it's close to the 50s, ish!

I watched The Kennedys last week, by accident! I didn't think I fancied it but then I was channel flicking and saw it and I'm hooked. Loved the double episode last week and looking forward to tonight. Jackie was a stunning woman, a true fashion icon.

Pollyskettle - that dress is gorgeous, am browsing the site now and has some lovely items. Think I need to get a bit braver and try something like that, nice to see clothes that celebrate curves and a decent figure instead of trying to make people look stick thin! Though that makes me a bit of a hypocrite by saying I'd still like to lose some weight before wearing it :)
Haven't done very well so far, hadn't see OH much all week so we ended up having a few beers last night so I not only got nothing done but overslept this morning and was rushing around throwing on whatever was closest! Ah well, I shall start to get organised this weekend - and work on my time-planning.

Gosh how this thread has grown, think I've got left behind again:D
Well I have had my hair cut, I felt a bit like a witch before, my hair fine but i have a lot and it does just what it wants, I'm also due to colour my hair so will get a dye at weekend when I go to town.
I don't like looking in the mirror as i have put on a little too much weight but unless i starve myself i cant lose it. I have put on some perfume today so thats a start, will give myself a face scrub later and apply night cream,if I can find it,
    Good luck everyone ;)

hey all ... well i had a sleep for four hours then got up and did day one of shred ... i had started this before but found due to my shoulder injury the excercises really painful ... today however i decided to give it another go and just take it a bit easier on my shoulder ... wow the amount of change within my shoulder was so noticeable ... it really has gotten much weaker than my other shoulder ( which is also injured but not as much) doing the excercises really hurt but i need to try and deal with my injury as much as i can so i am going to stick with it ...

i have to admit i enjoyed the looking in the mirror excercise ... well actually no i didnt ... i didnt enjoy the excercise but it did allow me to see myself and it gave me the boost i needed so i really ( once again) want to thank you for asking me to do it ... i think that simple excercise above all will help me with my motivation to make the difference for myself...

last night at work i did my facial and my meditation it was lovely to have some me time ... now to work on standing tall and proud ... and why not ... gonna also do the gardeing d.i.y hand thing ... and will buy myself a pair of kitchen gloves ... makes so much sense when you think about it

p.s will put the recipe up today/tomorrow as soon as i can find the book again lol
