I was told yesterday jokily to stop going on about my weightloss and I replied with its beacuse I never believed I would get to this point and I'm so happy. I feel quite evangelical about it too! Talk about giving a happy upbeat mood - it sure does and is well worth all the hard work and effort put in.
Who told you to stop going on about it??? They were probably jealous. Keep boasting is what I say!
Bitsy hope you're not so sore today. I must admit I quite like the pain
Maman glad you have been getting compliments too.
LL clutter drags me down too.....
I'm not feeling too bad today. Ex came round on Saturday for all his stuff. I was dreading it but we had a nice chat. I think he has been suffering too but it's definitely over. He said he would always be there for us if I needed anything doing or any babysitting (??? I think he's missing my DD) and he wouldn't be a stranger. We'll see.
I have been concentrating on getting my house homely. It always was homely but now it's just me and DD again it has a different feel to it IYSWIM. I'm getting my loft insulated on Friday in time for any bad weather we might be getting so my dear Dad came down and supervised while I got up in the loft to clear it out. Things like that make it hit home that he's gone - I would have got him to do it even though in the past I've always done things like that myself anywayback to being Miss Independent again I guess.
Looking around my living room now it does look very cosy and at least it's not a marriage breakup where we have to sell the house and go our separate ways.
As for fabbing, I've kept up with my running, I've done a bit of epilating, the OCM and a nice bath with HM body scrub. 8 stone 6 now (I'm only 5 ft 2) nice flat tum, smaller bum :jand best of all my boobs haven't shrunk this time :j. For the first time in 2 weeks I actually had an appetite tonight so DD and I had a lovely beef casserole - perfect for this cold night.
Am watching I'm a Celebrity but have had to mute it while they were doing the eating challenge - can't bear the sound of retching
Hoping for my first good night's sleep in a fortnight tonight
Sorry for all the waffle....It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

I agree - anyway it's not boasting as such is it. It's evangelical zeal - you feel good and you want to share it. Hopefully that enthusiasm and zeal might rub off onto other people and prompt them to lose weight and get healthy.

That's great news Poles - I call it nesting - it's a very positive thing to do. If your nest is comfortable and cosy it is not only a safe and inviting retreat from the outside world when things get tough, it's also a launch pad for when you feel good and ready.
Sorry for all the waffle....
It's not waffle - anyway I'm the Queen of Waffle - I can talk for England.
It's just good to see that you are starting to feel brighter and less raw. Well done on keeping busy and positive - it's not easy but you are doing a great job and you are wonderful role model for your daughter.
Learning how to pick yourself up and dust yourself down is one of life's great useful lessons.
Sorry my responses are in bold - I can't fathom out where the italics are or how to do colours etc

At least according to an article today in the Daily Mail.
The article was written by someone who is a professional declutterer - presumably to the rich and famous - wonder if she'd come and do mine:rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway she reckons that she has noticed that as people declutter their homes and lives, a by product is that they also manage to lose excess weight.
I guess this is true at least as far as the kitchen is concerned - after all if your worktops are messy and cluttered then it's probably difficult to get into full "cooking from scratch mode'' - nowhere to prepare vegetables etc. She says that people tend to give up and just opt for easy convenience foods and takeaways.
She could be on to something there. All I know is that when my house gets horribly messy it really does seem to drag me down and sap my energy. All that time wasted hunting for my keys/glasses/purse or whatever. I too get downhearted and find it difficult to make an effort.
As you know I have been steadily decluttering and things are much easier now. I have also been reorganising my kitchen and it does seem to be working better for me.
My kitchen is just about on it's last legs but will need to wait a while, however, had a good chat with the plumber the other day about redesigning it and he came up with loads of really good ideas and suggestions. I'm going to enjoy my house revamp when the time comes:D
Anyway have been really galvanised today, a huge pile of ironing done, finally caught up with SS paperwork :j:j - at least until the next lot:(
And I bought what I'm hoping will be a stupendous bargain....
I need some new fencing - have had several quotes ranging from £200 to £500. Today I went to ALDI and bought some rose hedging - 2 packs of 10 which should be plenty.
Now I know they will require regular pruning so that they don't get out of hand - but they will look pretty - lovely pink flowers, a gorgeous smell, plenty of rose hips for jellies, jams and potions, and a great habitat for wildlife.
The icing on the cake - the two packs came in at £7-98. Fingers crossed they grow. They should be alright because I already have a small section of hedging with the exact species of rose.
Fabwise - bought some Bio Oil today. I intended to give myself a nice facial but too busy. Hopefully tomorrow.
I have to confess - still not managed the bike yet or any "real" exercise - just a few stretches. Does washing down paintwork, deep cleaning the bathroom and running up and down stairs more times than I care to mention count. :rotfl:
G'night all X0 -
Betony - Well done on the weight loss, keep up the good work and get to that 1 stone marker soon.0

Hi All. Not much fabbing today unless you count discussing a gastric band and Sharon Osbornes transformation fabbing. I did find a Miller guide to Antiques at local CS, so will research more thoroughly when i declutter. LL i agree, the SS paperwork is a nightmare. I seem to have done it for 3 months solidly and I don't think that I am done yet. My only joy is that my mother is happy in nursing home. She had a nice Remembrance tea and was spraying the other old dears with perfume.0

Very quick post before I go to bed.
:Tbetony, you'll feel great when you get the stone award next week.
I remember when sparkles first got her name. We're hardly going to call such an upbeat person 'fedup' anymore!:rotfl:
Just a little fabbing today. Shower, hairwash and full make-up to go out. I realised today that I do all the slathering after every shower these days. Previously I'd have given up on the body lotion once I was into tights and winter clothes. Someone also commented that my outfit tonight was all colour co-ordinated. I was very pleased. I think it's something the French do really well and I'd love to look that chic and 'put together' all the time.
I've been feeling really tired recently. I think somehow it's taken me so much longer to get used to the clocks changing this year. Strangely I'm now wide awake when I should be sleeping! I think my bodyclock is haywire.
Off to try and get some sleep.

Brats sorry to hear about the family crisis, hope everything is OK xx
Hmmmmm clutter causes my being overweight. Got nothing to do with the large bar of chocolate and almonds I ate yesterday then:o I do agree that the state of the house directly affects my mood, when it's tidy I am more productive, was on my feet all day til nearly 10pm! No fabbing yesterday feel tired after busy day and got more busyness today LOL
Am feeling I could learn a great deal from our Sparkles
Have a great day all check back in later.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
Sorry to hear that Bratz I was wondering where you were. Have a lovely time tomorrow.
I've just sorted a pile of paperwork so am feeling quite virtuous on the decluttering. Also, yesterday we had the boiler serviced and this meant I had to empty the airing cupboard. Did I really need all those ancient pillowcases and duvet covers? I sorted a bag for CS and a bag for textile recycling. All helps. I certainly agree that there's something very theraputic about getting organised.
Glorious day here today. I also slept reasonably well. I'm not sure which (or maybe both?) is making me feel better. May try and fit in a walk later, DH is keen!!
Have a good day all.0 -
Morning all,
Have just lost a long post  and unfortunately can't be bothered typing it all again so will just say well done to everyone who's lost weight, been keeping up the fabbing, and getting on with decluttering (must have a big tidy this week, house is a tip at the moment!) Hope you're ok Bratz, enjoy your wedding tomorrow x
Feeling more motivated this week (about time!!) so managed a short walk on Sunday and yesterday started back on my shred and then had a nice long shower with conditioning, body scrub, defuzzing ect. Then repainted my nails (blue at the moment). Wearing my new knitted tunic/dress so feeling quite positive. Got my assignment back but bit disappointed with the mark - he's given me a lot of feedback and can see where he's coming from on most of it. I guess writing just quite a personal thing so hard not to take it a bit personally when people criticise. Ah well, moving on and all that! Have choir tonight and is my early week so have to go straight from work and not home until late-ish so won't have time for much else today. Will maybe try and do my exercises if I'm not too tired when I get in.
Hope everyone has a good day x0
