Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that I haven't abandoned you all :rotfl:
Not caught up with the thread yet as I'm trying to get on with my OU work this week, really can't afford to fall behind with this course as it's a level 2, so will affect my final grade - and I'm aiming for a first!
I feel like I'm finally getting back into dieting (fell off the diet wagon in June, so it's a long time coming!). I'm starting to feel a bit more motivated, and am actually making an effort with food and exercise. I'm actually exercising at the moment... on the bike, and watching Gok while writing this - how's that for multitasking!!!
I've been keeping up with exfoliating and moisturising and am planning on starting to use one of those gradual tanners tonight. My skin is so pale at the moment so a bit of colour has got to make me look and feel better.
Hope everyone is doing well, will catch up with you all soon.0 -
OMG my nails have managed to grow without breaking and I've just sat and filed them. it's hideous as the longer the nail the more it sets my teeth on edge
I am going back to biting them
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hey Everyone,

How on earth do you manage that.:D
DS2 has treated himself to two new lenses for his camera. He's always experimenting taking pictures of me to try out lighting, angles etc - often when I'm not prepared and "unposed". I am not even remotely photogenic and they are always hideous.
He often posts them on his Facebook page. Tonight someone said I looked great so perhaps the fabness is finally starting to work a little - either that or his work is improving:rotfl:.
No I'm not posting any pics yet - I'll do a final reveal when I reach my goal.
Anyway booked a hair appt for Friday and a facial for a week on Friday to up the Fab Factor.
My skin is getting very dry and itchy - cold winds and central heating. I'm also starting to look rather pale and was thinking it's time to start the gradual tanners.
Tonight I had a little wardrobe sort out - some stuff for little Sis for tomorrow. Did a bit of a stocktake and worked out what I need to update my Autumn wardrobe.
When DH goes into respite next week I have it in mind to do a little retail therapy - some undies, some knitwear, some black loafer type shoes, a couple of scarves and perhaps the odd bargain or three - if there are any around.
I'm lusting after some red (scarlet) leather gloves. I always used to stock up on scarves and gloves when we went to Spain - usually about 5 Euros for a pair of nice leather gloves on the markets. TJ Hughes used to be quite good for leather gloves but they've gone now of course. There's one of those concession stalls in our Westfield that does scarves so hopefully there might be somewhere for gloves too.
Didn't get to make the apple chutney - mañana.;)
G'night all x
PS DS2 a bit nervous about his interview - I tried to reassure him that you can never really second guess how you've done - bless him - he really wants this job. I quizzed him and it sounds quite promising.
It was one of those group interviews where they have to perform various tasks - he said he was fine in the team exercises and small groups but he felt he'd screwed up when having to address the whole group - 13 people plus 3 observers. Poor devil - I think I would have found that bit the most nerve racking too.
I've never had to undergo that kind of group interview myself and can only imagine the horror. It's tough out there - especially for youngsters. Talk about being made to go through hoops. I feel so sorry for them.
Job applicants are people for goodness sake - not performing seals.0 -

willow - well done on the weight loss!!
I've lost about 1.5 stone all in all but stalled now. Not that I mind actually because I think I look grand as I am (size 14 hourglass shape) and my BMI etc is fine. If I lost more grand but if I don't well sure no biggie.
Am going to try to paint my nails tonight after knitting club - when I have polish on I don't bite them and although most have grown I've bitten 2 down since taking the polish off on Sunday so not out of the habit yet!
Not sure if I metioned one of the dresses on eBay didn't fit - was down as a large but doesn't fit my fiance's sister who's a size 8/10 so raised a dispute. Well the seller totally ignored it so paypal have found in my favour, refund on return. Will be posting it off on Friday so that's good.carpe diem

Not lost any more weight. Have been pondering the reasons why I end up self sabotaging when I start to get going. Am wondering really if deep down I think I am OK as I am. I mean most people don't realise I weigh what I do and when I told a friend what size I am she was suprised. I dunno I feel like I am thinking about weigh loss a fair bit and getting fed up when it's not happening <shrug>
Think I am going to focus on the pampering and exercising side of things and not focus on the weight loss. Mind you it's hard not to, especially when one of my friends is doing a community weight loss challenge and has lost 10lb and I thinkthat should be me.
Sorry no idea why I a rambling but I am getting a bit fed up of going round in circles on this one and I need to step back from it.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning :hello:
Congrats WILLOW :j
I'm having a couple of days off, have gone from bad PMS to the period from hell - bad cramps, very cold and tired. I was in bed by 8.30 last night, then woke up at 1.30am and I feel awfulI'm really angry too, not helped by a nasty narcissist
so I've pulled my boots on and I'm sat here trying to persuade myself to go for a short walk to stomp it all out
I'm really trying to sort out my eating habits. Yesterday I reached for a banana and they were all gone. So I chopped up a couple of apples and ate a piece, they were all floury and almost tasteless. Still, the guinea pigs enjoyed them, lol. I ate noodles instead, then a bowl of cereal for tea. As I said, I'm trying - just failing miserably. Perhaps I will go for that walk, I can stop in the local shop and get some fruit.Bulletproof0 -
Well, I went out and stomped
Then I stomped even harder because all the shop had was a few packs of potatoes, seven soft apples and a black banana
I'll clean out the chickens then spend the rest of the day under a blanket on the sofa, hiding from the worldBulletproof0 -
Good morning ladies,
After last nights rain (first in weeks) it has turned into a lovely morning.
I slept badly because the rain encouraged the walnuts to fall and one of the trees overhangs our bedroom, bang, dribble, crash most of the night and reading a scary book at bedtime does not help  :rotfl: never mind I don't have a heavy day planned, will power nap later:)
Willow, well done on the weight. At this rate you will be a Christmas cracker:j
LL, fingers crossed for your DS2, when will he hear the result? I agree, it is tough for the youngsters these days, however I have heard so many employers say they cannot get youngsters into apprenticeships...why?
Red gloves, now what is it they say, oh no, that is red hat...oooer missus
Tru, I can empathise with you, every month was agony with PMS:mad: until I had my son.
sorry gotta dash, back later.....0
