Aww Hun that's lovely and I'm sure you are more than welcome! I'm glad the lovely ladies on here have been able to help- not to get all soppy but this thread has become a lot more than just how to look better I think- what a lovely supportive bunch you all are!:D

I'll just say again Molly, if there is anything else we can help with, fundraising ideas, calls to places etc please to let us know ok?

    hope everyone is doing well-

I mananged to to a conditioning treatment on my hair and gave it a trim- can't remember who gave me the tip for trimming long curly hair but it works a treat- even DH was impressed by how nicely it falls- you loosely tie your hair in a pony tail right at the top of your head ( stay with me here) then pull the band gently along the length- easier at this point if you are hanging your head upside down- and pull the band down to where you want to cut- then just trim below the band- because of the way the hair is tied it will fall to a nice point/curve when you take it down. I'm so pleased with it I'm actually wearing my hair down for work today- unusual for me!

have a half day today as am off to Mum's this afternoon and my little (big) brother is coming too- I haven't seen him since June so it will be lovely to catch up...

am also starting to try and buy some decent winter boots- have found a paid I like on shoe tailor- just need to get round to measuring my claf so I can make sure I get the right fit, I think I might have a look out for a decent showerproof parka too for when it snows- I have the most amazing 70s full length brushed leather and faux fur coat which I totally love wearing but it doesn't really stand up to wet snow...idealling I'd love a full length parka I think or as long as I can get- when it's that cold I want to snuggly and warm in my coat but can I do that without living up to Mum's (oh so funny) nickname of Michelin Man????

I saw this one which I'm tempted by what do you guys think?

    "molly,

Thank you for thinking about me x
I have decided that I will spend the money on the operation - Obviously I have to get it together but will work on that. It was my son who asked me if one of beloved dogs (who are like my children) were ill would i be prevaricating? My son knows me too well as obviously the answer would be NO.

Well Molly - I think we've found your silver lining.

You remember I said that no matter now dire the situation there's nearly always a chink of light somewhere.

    In your case there's two.

First - the love your family feels. They've made it clear that they want only what's best and right for you, they're prepared to put their money where their mouths are and they are determined to help. You are plainly loved very much.

Second - you've come out fighting. May not sound much - but some people would have been completely pole-axed by such news - they would just give up all hope. Obviously you've got an inner core of steel there, Molly. Good for you.

Borrow my Fab rule - just keep going - never give up.

Gotta dash - mountains to do.

Tru - Just a quickie - glad your day went so well - bring on the business empire.:D

Small update... I have lost weight! I lost 6lb since 22nd September coz that's the last time I went on the Wii. This means I'm under 18 stone! :D I even dug out the normal scales just to check. So that's why I felt thinner...coz I am :D

    Good evening ladies

Yay Willow :T:T See - told you you could do it. :rotfl: Now - just keep going.;)

Sparkles - glad to hear you are feeling so good - I wish I could run - sometimes I feel that I can barely walk:(

I am hoping to try and start a few gentle walks and try and build up to say 30 minutes three times a week. Ideally I would love to walk each day but for the time being that's a non starter because of time constraints.

Don't wish to moan but Lordy I'm sooo tired at the moment. I did a spot of gardening today. Now I wouldn't have said it was particularly hard or difficult but oh my - I'm exhausted. I am hoping that this extreme tiredness is linked to my onerous caring duties and that it's not just because I'm getting older. I would hate to think that is the case.

I had blood tests for cholesterol, insulin etc recently but not anaemia - I know that I can get a bit borderline so I might get that checked just in case. I need to see GP anyway.

Anyway OH goes into respite next weekend so it will be a good test to see if I can bounce back a bit.

His care manager came today and he suggested that we try a series of two to three week breaks of care so that we can ease OH gently into permanent care. Sounds like a good idea.

Anyway have got a week at the end of October booked and a fortnight at the beginning of December (will give me chance to sort Christmas) and we'll take it from there.

Managed 2kms on the bike and some yoga yesterday, nothing today - the gardening was enough for one day:rotfl:

Any enough about me - hope you are all well. Apparently we're in for a nice weekend - so get out there and enjoy that sunshine whilst you can.

Have a great weekend - Happy Fabbing. x

I'm aiming to get up and go for another run in the morning and another one Sunday morning to get up to 4 runs this week instead of 2 or 3. Not sure if I'll do it but am deffo getting up tomorrow again for the same run as I enjoyed it so much.

LL - walking is very good for exercise and weight loss. Try and build up to 30min walks a day and then take it from there. Its what my mum did and she's stuck at it and gone down a dress size and is very pleased with this result!
