edited 22 June 2011 at 11:37PM in It's gone, but was it any good?
UPDATE: Now expired. Sorry :(

Just got this myself, paid £36 for 3 years of Xbox Live membership.

I can't take the credit fully for it, I found it on Hotukdeals. But here's the direct link to the deal:
http://click.engage.xbox.com/?qs=dd4dab84adacdd72528319a9a92ba5b26e6e7e6ac37187e3fcdada220bf6c64c1c2f7d241a90dd3e

You seem to only be able to buy more than about 3 months if you add a PayPal account, and this does turn on auto renewal but there's some simple steps to remove the auto renewal once you've bought as many as you can:
  1. Login to your PayPal account
  2. Click Details on any of the Xbox transactions
  3. Click "View Payment Agreement Details"
  4. Click Cancel
This is also a good opportunity to remove any credit/debit cards tied to your Xbox Live account, but make sure you remove them before you cancel the PayPal agreement!

Act fast though, they pull the plug on these deals pretty fast!

James

Yeah, the downside is you have to sit there clicking the link each time as it was only originally meant as a 1 month taster, but it's worth it when you consider the RRP from Microsoft for a year is £39.99 and you're getting 3 years for less than that! :D

Hmm, that sucks, people still saying it's working elsewhere.

Have you tried doing it via PayPal?

Apparently if you try a couple of times it can let it back through, how many months have you bought though?
