Or maybe he could have just shown an ounce of common sense and driven to the end of the bus stop so that the bus could have pulled in safely behind and he could have safely continued his phone call, rather than sitting slap bang in the middle of it...

So you are advocating driving whilst using a mobile, interesting!

Anyone with half a brain would realise that in rush hour there is a fair chance a bus on a route where they run every five minutes may want to pull into it, and with this knowledge they would perhaps have the common sense to pull to the end of the stop rather than stopping directly in the middle of it.
As he would have had to pull over to answer the phone in the first place he could have pulled over sensibly.

Ninja edit: Does anyone have a list of what these offences are that the govt mark forces on so i can see what calls i'm supposedly prioritising?

I'm told in scotland certain forces love what they call kpi's, which mainly involves the issuing of tickets, certain calls taking priority over every other call and taking over common sense too. Not only that but I've heard tell cops being told off for not meeting the shifts quota for the month, despite their record of work on other fronts being more than enough.

Well that would depend on the call, and common sense dictates for certain calls you just stop.

It seems to me you were held up by this police person, usual rush hour impatience then:undecided

Seems to me you know sod all and are surmising then :undecided

FYI, I wasn't held up in any way by him, did you see the part where I mentioned being in a vehicle? No? Thought not.

Common sense dictates for you to stop 'sensibly' and 'safely'

Of course I'm surmising, its fair to say only someone held up by the bus might get annoyed about it. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, why would I assume you're actually the busy body you are with nothing else better to do with your live than getting your knickers in a twist about this trivial thing.:rotfl:Thanks for clearing that up.

Pretty sure stopping to take a phone call out of a live lane of traffic in a convenient bus stop was sensible and safe; common sense wins is what you're saying, well done police officer.

Did I get my knickers in a knot? No sweetheart I believe you did that trying to defend a copper who hasn't got the basic brains to pull to the end of a bus stop rather than the middle of one.

I can only go on what I've be given dear.

Its such a trivially pathetic thing to complain about. I know it, you know it, but you're stuck defending your pathetic rant because you're too shamed to admit how sad you life must be.:rotfl:
