    You were poster #9 flexrider.
Are you saying that the 2006 article about a company offering colorization services for previously purchased Macs gives credence to your claim that you bought a black MacBook Pro direct from Apple in 2010?

A pointless argument. If it's custom or not legitimate in some way then it won't have as much of a resell value anyway. So possibly it's better that we take flexrider's word for it?

Flexrider, I just remembered this tool I used when I needed to identify the specs of an iMac I was working on at work:
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do

It should help you understand what you've actually got there so you can advertise them correctly.
    HTH.

Once you've used the link above to positively ID your Macs, try plugging their details into http://www.mac2sell.net/

It gives you an estimated second hand value, which should of course be taken with a pinch of salt. Also a handy tool if you're ever looking to buy a second-hand Mac.

    I've seen a white 15" Macbook. In fact, I've seen 2.
I'm a member of a photographic club and we regularly have talks from visiting photographers. This year we had two visitors who used Macbooks for their presentations.
Several of our members took a great interest in them as they worked much more smoothly than the club's Windows machine.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

Not really dodgy, just send everything recorded delivery protected by ebay
