The Chesterfield one is much more entertaining :)

They did this with me with my debit card. I had changed my address but they only changed my correspondence address, not my 'main' address. So they sent it to my old house! I then got them to send a card for me to pick up at my local branch. When I was on the phone to them I got them to change my main address. Obviously your main address is still your old one, so you need to phone them up to change your 'main' address not just the correspondence address.

Aye happened to me as well, I moved house and all my letters and even my new debit and credit cards arrived at my new address, but the statements for my credit card have been going to my old address for the last 13 months, I figured they had put me on paperless because I use Internet Banking so much, it's only when I rang up to speak about something else they confirmed it and then sounded surprised when I said that's my old address after confirming my current address 3 times for other things...:undecided

This is precisely what I mean, there's no order to it. I'm receiving my debit card and my credit card statements fine. I think I'm just going to leave. It's a shame, though.

Yes indeed. Can't put in a tackle but give him the ball and all is well.

Has this thread gone off topic? :D

Known as the "ghost" - due to his tendancy to go missing when the going gets tough!

I was impressed at the forced effort to push it off topic, and the little boy's club of thanking each others' worthless posts. Well done chaps, you're killing the forums.

It wasn't exactly forced, it just evolved that way. To be honest, the thread had run it's course. I think the death of MSE as a forum is some way off yet.

You have a problem - you either (1) put up with it; (2) complain - and the different avenues for this have been stated; (3) or leave the bank.

A mix of (2) and (3) is often popular.

Unless an employee of HSBC was going to appear and state "this kind of thing happens because system A doesn't talk to system B" then there wasn't really going to be much more happening.

Sharon's post may have added some value after the event, but given that around 15%-20% of the population bank with HSBC it doesn't seem as though this is a common problem.

Apologies if the excitement of Wycombe and Chesterfield being promoted was too much for you. Hopefully you run your finances better than the average football club.

With all due respect, I do not think a new user, or as MSE flag you, a "Newbie", is in a position to judge members posts on your thread as "killing the forums".

If you'd bothered to look at o4u's or chambta's other posts, you'd see their contribution to MSE transcends what is light hearted banter on a dead thread.

Anyways, o4u gave an adequate answer in post ten.

Please remember, these sorts of questions are posted rather frequently, and there is a search function. Not every question requires a new thread.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.
