I'm a bit dubious about people listing gambling wins. Is that really appropriate and something to be encouraged? Presumably, then, people will remove from their total all the money they lost while gambling?
I totally agree with your concern, but i think most people here use the freebies?
I assume that any profit is recorded minus any outlay ??
I very rarely play the lottery and even rarer i play the euro lotto, and if i do its only ever 1 lucky dip!

A little bit more to add to my total - Saved £4.01 at Tesco on BOGOFs that I needed / non consumables. Also, OHs company paid £20 excess for a trip to Heathrow and back (gave me £60 but only £40 of that was petrol, so counting the excess towards this total).I have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!

I don't think that gambling is being encouraged. People are simply adding the money they won to the total - there are no links to sites, discussion on it, or advice on how to do it.
TBH, I think your last comment, 'all the money they lost while gambling' a little presumptuous, it suggests more of an issue than there actually is.
I have been known to add the odd bingo win, but I have never taken the money that I have spent off my total. I will go to the bingo halls every now and again as part of a night out with friends and will spend that money anyway, regardless of whether I win or not, so anything I do win is a bonus.
I don't think that people are only spending money on gambling in the hope of winning, it is just how they choose to spend their money anyway. And if that's what people like to spend their money on then who are we to argue? We shouldn't be judging people on how they choose to spend their money, just congratulating them on gaining extra money - whether it be making, finding, receiving, or winning.0 -

I understand why you are saying this, but like misskaytee said we don't list the gambling site, ask if people want to be referred, offer links, etc.
I play the 2 bingo sites - I play the free daily comps, but initially I had to put in a £10 stake, but I went through a cashback site, so got my £10 back and have also won £10 x2 so made my money back.
But it is not guaranteed money and I do not play the bingo every day, only sometimes, to make sure they don't close my account for only playing the free games.
People are just posting their wins. And we don't know how they achieved it. Free games, free entry, lotto ticket bought for them, etc.0 -
