Car hire at Faro Airport

Last time we ended up with a rental company based in car park 4, a good walk away from the terminal. This year I want to avoid that and use a company based beside the arrivals area. I have asked a couple of the brokers if they can guarantee me a deal with one of these close in desks but they cannot do so.
Anyone out there know a broker who uses these preferred companies?
To go direct with the rental firms is much more expensive.
