I have a tin of Cajun seasoning and that, sprinkled over chicken or pork is fabulous, for next to no effort! Can't remember the name of the manufacturer, but I bought it in Tesco, it's a silver/orange round tin, stocked on the herb & spice aisle
I use cajun seasoning on chicken and veg skewers and serve with minted yoghurt. Never thought of just putting it on the full chicken doh!thyme, butter and lots of salt
garlic and lemon in olive oil
sesame oil, soy, ginger
lime and chilli
honey and mustard
worcestershire sauce, mustard a little sugar and ketchup for a bbq flavour
tarragon and little white wine
pesto
sundried toms mushed with basil
How would you add say the lime and chilli?
Any ideas are greatfully received. Thankyou xThe best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -

I'd mix the lime juice & chili flakes in a little olive oil or in butter & spread it over the chicken, the best way to do that in the butter one is whisk the lime in while softning the butter in a pan.0 -
I zest the lime, mix with the juice, chop the chilli (or use dried flakes) and mix all together, marinade for an hour or up to a day (not overnight as the citrus can cause the chicken to go a bit 'wooly') and roast/ grill/ pan fry. if You want to use skinless pieces that add a little oil to stop it drying out - for these flavours I'd just use veg oil rather than olivePeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
