My husbands laptop is connecting to the wirelesa and so is my ipad, but m laptop is jus not connecting...past few days i have had a message from avira again and again that a virus is attempting, but i did click remove. Not sure, is the virus still there?

Any ideas what k should do?

    Run a program called hijack this and post the results also do a full virus scan and download a program called malware bytes which will help remove any remnants.

    Just scanning with malwarebytes, had it saved in my programs......

    How do i post the results here? No connection....im on my ipad at the moment.....done a quick scan on malwarebytes and found 2infections, spyware.bank and trojan.dropper.....should i remove selected?

    Yes, but did you also update before you scanned?

    Open the logs tab in Malwarebytes, highlight the relevant log then 'open'.
    The log will appear in 'Notepad', click anywhere on the log (make it active) then Ctrl+a, right click, 'copy' and 'paste' it into your reply.
    Move along, nothing to see.

    they're on their iPad and running the tests on their laptop.

    what isn't your laptop connecting to? the wireless router or the internet?

    what actually happens when you try?

    if you click start and in the find box type in cmd and then press enter, it should bring up a black box. In the black box type in
    ping https://www.google.co.uk (and then press enter).

    what happens when you do that?

    Gives ping statistics etc, u need the number?

    Minimum 27ms, maximum 33ms, average 30ms
