Options
Hey, just bought an lg telly its the 37le4900 with tv internet, i thought great! But they didnt mention you have to buy their Wirless boradband USB adapter seperate for 44 quid! Tried my own usb wireless adapter from my pc but it didnt reckognise it, dont suppose anyone knows any other cheaper adapter that may work, though my guess is you have to buy the lg one!

May be able to pick up one from ebay, but I don't think there are any other cheeper options. Pretty sure you can't use just any wireless usb adaptor.

If it has a proper ethernet connection available (a google suggests it does), you can get a wireless access point and connect it to the ethernet port and that should work, it'll be a bit more faffing than the official usb receiver* but possibly much cheaper.
Any wireless access point (or even a router that can be set to work as one), should do it as the access point basically appears to the connected device (TV) as a wired connection :) (wired networking gear doesn't require any external drivers as each unit is self contained).

*You'll probably need to connect it directly to a PC/laptop to set it up the first time, as opposed to being able to do it via the TV menus.
