I think I'm going to call delivery days my shopping days as I'll have in my mitts. :D

NSD for me, OH went to Lidl and saved 30p each on some Rachel's organic yogurts and picked up 4 x 50g packs of pine nuts for 89p each as well as pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.

Nothing in or out of the cupboard but some Kettle Chips out of the box from Shorters Club.

Out of the cupboard - some noodles.
We had stir fry and noodles tonight for dinner - it was yummy.
Portion left to go in the freezer.
Out of freezer - HM Mince pie for Saturday's dinner.

Not sure what to do for dinner but lunch for me is a something balti that I thought was spaghetti bolognese that I got out of freezer for DS. I think I have a rice portion in the freezer too. DS can have a LM sausage roll and some fruit.

I have loads of stale bread in the freezer so I think I'll make a bread pudding. DS won't eat it so will have to make muffins too. Yay stuff coming out of the cupboard!!!

    Morning all.
Hope you all had a great day yesterday. We had a lovely Italian meal for lunch and I just snacked the rest of the day.
Took out some stuffed pork tenderloins for today and getting rid of some veg.

I ended up with a NSD yesterday somehow (food-wise) and may try and just get by today and get what I need tomorrow. I'll need to re-stock veg over the weekend and other bits. I'm going to stop buying crisps!! Well, for the time being anyway. Maybe cut down on cr4p to stop tempting hubby. He's started his fitness regime and lost about 5lb so far. Another 5 or 6 weeks until his next blood test and see what the cholesterol figures say. Then decision day on statins!!

Morning all. I've done fairly well at not shopping for the last week. Hardly spent anything and still don't need much. Didn't spend much at the market. £3 to be precise. Bought 5 packs of belvia biscuits, or whatever they're called, 10 bags of crisps including M&S salt and black and pepper, and they're gorgeous! and got 5 packs of tintacs for ds. Disappointed I didn't grab more of the crisps lol.

Used a pack of 8 chicken drumsticks out the freezer yesterday and made a chicken wraps for lunch. Ds had tomato soup for tea and I had another spicy chicken wrap.

Not sure about meals today. May eat out for lunch. Going to soft play today with my bro and nieces but need to visit Asda before that. Not looking forward to the walk as I've got a bloody chilblain on a toe.

katskorner - how did the party go for your lo? The one that clashed with another?

Lynsey - Well done to your hubby on his weight loss. Fingers crossed for him it all works.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

    Breakfast - banana and OJ
Lunch - the other half of the pizza from last night
Dinner - the rest of the Quorn Roast left from xmas, been sat in fridge since Tuesday so needs using up, easy dinner as will just have with potato wedges

My Riverford veg box order just arrived and it's lovely - so like this home delivery lark :D

I've still got two blocks of tofu in the fridge and plenty of hm bean burgers in the freezer so will probably use all that with the veg over the next week. Got a couple of jars of pesto and a jar (I was given) of sauce I can add in.

Need to add up my spends but think it's about £75 so far this month and still nearly 2 weeks left of Feb...

Lip_Stick - he's not really that much overweight, but surprisingly put on approx 1/2 stone over Xmas and was maybe 5lb over anyway. 1lb a week loss or so over the next 6 weeks should be easy - as long as he gets on the hamster wheel. lol

I'm doing a freezer check tomorrow and starting to go off track a little. I haven't really bought much meat in 2013 so far and gaps filled are with tea cakes and ice cream. Those will go by the end of March, but it will be tight to see an empty freezer by then. Maybe before the end of April before we go on holiday might be a better target and start afresh from when we get back.
I'm hoping Lidl don't offer anything unmissable, like chicken breasts. That could "throw a spanner in the works".
I'll try hard next week and see what we can clear.

^ You could buy a locked cupboard for all the nice bits :D though sounds like he's doing well so far. I thought I read change of diet needs 3 months ish to show a change but no idea how true that is. I would be doing everything to avoid statins where possible though.

Kirri - I think he just wants to see if fitness and weight-loss makes any difference.
His baseline is 7.9, so just to see if there's any movement, downward obviously. If it's still above 6.5 and he's back to his "fighting weight", then statins it will be as obviously genetic.
He spoke to a Guy the other day who is very fit and who has suffered a recent stroke. The poor Guy was devastated and questions, "Why me". Doctors just told him he was unlucky and genetic. He now questions, "What is the point of fitness?" and he is fit!!
Under 6.5, then try diet for a bit longer. But they want it around 4.5.

    Lock the "goodies" away. lol
He's limited to just 2 Aero biscuit bars a day.
