Virgin Media.

I hope this is the correct forum.
I am for my cost a Virgin Media customer. In all honesty they have been quite good over the years but now I have problems. I just cannot get a UK person to speak to me. Its all Asian based.
So if anyone has a
UK
based phone number. Failing that a snail mail address, I would be grateful.
I have used the email on
their
site. Although they have
acknowledged
receipt of email nothing since.

    Hi,

I used the complaints address as they were charging me the wrong amount for my phone and broadband.

I tried their call centre and was fobbed off and told the manager would phone me within 24 hours. Heard nothing from them, so emailed them (using the addy on their website) still no reply. Got fed up then and wrote to them saying I had cancelled my direct debit and no longer wanted their services. Got a letter back within 2 days to say they were investigating and a phone call amount a week later full of apologies and the overpayment refunded and a lower monthly charge for the rest of they year.

I still haven't got confirmation of my bundle costs in writing, i have installation due tomorrow and i won't let them install anything with written confirmation, all i got was a welcome letter with a account number on it,if i hear nothing by tomorrow morning i will instruct my bank to cancel debits and not allow the engineers into my home, then they will have to contact me, they must think i'm dumb if i'm going to let them set me up with contracts with no written confirmation of what its for. Written means letter, email, not some phone call to customer service.

All resolved. Very quick two emails and a phone call. Very nice lady who sorted problems gave me some credit and generally raised my thoughts about VM.

Well i have had no emails or letters, got a call about a hour ago

Her: "hi this is a courtesy call to let you know your installation is due tomorrow"

Me: "No its not, i cancelled it"

Her "Oh.....let me check please.....yes its in the process of being cancelled, sorry about that"

Lack of care is lack of written confirmation about how much they plan on debiting me and the dates these debits are due, they seem to work on word of mouth which is not right.

These people pee me off, and I am not even one of their customers.

I get at least one letter a week addressed to my house but just with the occupier as the addressee, trying to flog their services. I always just put return to sender on them.

We are with Sky, even though they are a bit expensive, I find their c/s excellent.

Not to mention the unaddressed ones that comes with all the other junk leaflets my postie drops through.

If you call Virgin and ask for "disconnections", you may have more chance of getting through to a UK based call centre.

I know what you mean about their call staff. They are very polite but they often just don't understand what you want. My OH just ends up shouting at them!
