Catalogue return 2 days late

Arghhhh.

Just sealed my parcel to post back tomorrow (simplybe) to discover I should of done it yesterday and tomorrow will make it 2 days late returning it.

Read the approval thing & they may not accept the return & send the whole order back at my expense/ if they do accept they reserve the right to charge £3 per item to cover the cost of processing it.

I have never been late in sending anything back before or been late in making any payments.

Do I have any chance in hell of them accepting the return & not charging me £3 per item?

I know, I know, totally my fault, been meaning to post it back all flipping week & only just sorted it all out. But kinda hoping that because its only 2 days later & not like a week or something they may let it go.

What was the date you received the item?

The "seven days" rule, starts the day after receipt and does not include weekends or public holidays.

Did you notify them within the 7 days?

I'm pretty sure you don't have to send it within 7 days, just notify them.

Catalogue stuff is often on 14 days approval...so DSR may not be applicable if this is the case here.
  • Its a 14 home day approval at which on my account it has the 4th June as delivery date.

Is that fourteen calendar days or working days? When does the first day start?

  • You must return any items to us in new condition within 14 days of receipt (taken from the website)

I'm returning 12 items as order 6 but order each in two sizes as I have lost a lot of weight. None of the items I liked/fitted right etc.

To be honest i do not think they will charge you. I'm with Fashion World (which is run by the same company as Simply Be) on the odd ocassion i have returned items a few days late and i have not been charged (apart from one ocassion when i returned some items very late.)
I think the policy mainly applies to customers who reapeatedly return items late or those who return stuff way after the 14 days.
    Hope this helps.

  • Thanks guys.

It just topped off my evening after my OH was being helpful & put washing in. He was putting it on the airer when he then sheepisly said sorry, I asked what for, to only be told my 2 week old weight watcher pedometer he had washed.

Thank you Stclair I am quite pleased with myself if I do say so, gone from a size 26 to currently a 16.
