Anon wrote:As a number of Lovefilm codes are mentioned on here and elsewhere, please can you clarify if one code in particular (of the above) is offered for existing customers?
Many thanks
Anon
Anon, I have been invited back and the code I've been given is LFZZ98778
I cancelled a year ago due to bad customer service and like errolevans they charged me because my disk was a day overdue - that particular disk took five days to reach them
I've signed up for the 3 months free trial but will be cancelling it after 2 just to make sure I'm not charged!

Nice one, thanks Miss B - works a treat on an existing account
My technique to avoid paying is to remove all films form my queue (so no replacements will be sent out); send back my current films and get a certificate of posting from the post office; when they have been received at lovefilm I cancel the account. This has worked fine for all of my trials from screenselect/lovefilm. I normally start the process a week before the end of the trial.0 -
Miss B I used your code and added 15 titles to my list. 30 minutes later I got an e-mail telling me I was ineligable as I had already had a free trial..0

I signed up on Tuesday using the original code at the top of the thread - went in as a returning customer, used my original email account, selected one (of the two) accounts listed and reactivated my account. According to the pages I was charged £0 reactivation and £0 subscription - due to expire in April 2007 (online credit card statement is not showing anything at the moment either).

I got exactly the same message as anon when I signed back up. I've never had a problem with Lovefilm, to be perfectly honest I only cancelled my account with them because I ran out of things to watch. I now have a 3 month free trial and the average turnaround has been 2-3 days. I can't say I've been impressed by the customer service departments at any online DVD rental service I've used (and I've used them all over the last couple of years) but at the end of the day they offer DVDs for a fraction of the rental cost of High Street rental stores so I accept that they have to cut corners which means crappy customer service unfortunately.0

Sorry if this has already been said (I'm at work so didnt have chance to read the whole thread) but it looks like you can cancel, then reactivate your account from https://www.lovefilm.com/freegift and use one of the codes (ie LFZZ98767) for the three month trial. It doesn't work on existing customers, just new and re-activating :-D
...I hope! Gonna try it myself after I send my DVDs back.0
