Tesco just resells the lovefilm service, there are very few dvd rental companies now as most have been swallowed up, the remaining ones are:
lovefilm/screenselect
blockbuster
a few other smaller ones
That's it really, all the big companies doing dvd rental like tesco are just re-selling the lovefilm service0 -
Screenselect is now part of Lovefilm.
Pinkgal your terms are what are on the voucher but when you go to http://www.tescodvdrental.com/partners/freegift.html or http://www.lovefilm.com/partners/freegift.html you will see this extra part.
"Existing subscribers or those who have previously enjoyed a free trial with any LOVEFiLM-powered site are not eligible"
So I don't qualify for this because I had a free trial last year with Lovefilm?
On the letter it says "Where have you been.We miss you and love to have you back".
Even on this site http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/13089/3-months-free-unlimited-dvd-games-r
they say "its very rare to let previous members get back for free."
My opinion of this ambiguous offer is that if you have had a free trial before you won't get 3 months for free.
The only people this offer applies to is people that have never had a free trial with a LOVEFiLM-powered site.0 -
Jazzyjeff, choices has been swallowed up too.
"The Movie Choices rental program has merged with another of the UK's top online DVD rental companies LoveFilm"

I've just been told that I've been charged!
What is going on?
Is this a glitch - a con - or just a mistake?
I'll need to check with credit card company. There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -

true, the only time Lovefilm allows a deal with previous subscribers is when they e-mail you with an offer saying something like " come back Joe Bloggs and we will give you 3 months free rental".
It has happened twice to me. still wouldn't use them theyr'e rubbishDon't take life too seriously, no one gets out alive0 -
Received the voucher in the post today for 3 months of Lovefilm for FREE.
On the voucher it states the offer cannot be used by existing Lovefilm customers OR any customers of a Lovefilm-powered site.
Yippee I think - at the moment I'm on the Amazon trial, I have only used Lovefilm for a trial in the past.
But then when you visit the website link it says "Existing subscribers or those who have previously enjoyed a free trial with any LOVEFiLM-powered site are not eligible".
According to the website conditions I wouldn't be eligible as I have been on trials with Lovefilm & Screenselect in the past.
Conflicting terms & conditions ??
I know Lovefilm's service did deteriorate fairly recently, but 3 months for FREE is better than nothing. Might have to e-mail customer services to check eligibility.0 -
Starflower, can you tell us what they say regarding old customers? Do they get a 3 months for free.0
