Interesting what some may consider !!!!!!, it is not so long ago that many employees had calenders on the wall of similar content to this (I assume), in fact my company were actually printing them themselves for customers (not us but our German colleagues I must add:o). So I would suggest that it isn't really crime of the century but something that should be dealt with sensibly.

True but times have thankfully changed and such calenders for instance are not appropriate these days in a workplace environment.

Sorry, I mean the meeting with the union rep to speak about the appeal.

Does anyone know what 'repudiated contract' is, (dismissal letter is saying Breach of trust is why he is being sacked, looked it up but dont understand if what he did 'repudiated his contract', which has to be the case for BoT it seems.

Repudiation of a contract means a refusal to perform the duty or obligation owed to the other party.

I think that it means that his behaviour is going against what the contract stands for as per behaviour etc.

This is an odd question, but do you think being caught having sex in the office constiutes breach of trust?

well, that gives me some hope then, as a senior grade to OH was caught in the act, and was only downgraded - so if that was Breach of Trust, it does not automatically mean dismissal.
